Lies

During the movie, i got a strange call from Matthew. I ran to the bathroom to answer him.

"Hello?" I whispered

"Hello? Can you come and meet me near the beach" he asked 

"What, why?"

"I have to tell you something" 

"No Matthew, theres nothing else to say"

"Jane, i miss you so much. You are my best friend. I love you"

He said the L word. To me. I didn't know what to do. It was between Jack, or Matthew. I just couldn't take the pressure. 

"Matthew..i-im sorry" i hung up

I sat down and cried.

"Jane? A-are you ok?" it was Jack

"Yeah, yeah im fine" wiping away my tears

I got out of the bathroom and Jack was feeling nervous.

"J-jack? Whats wrong" with tears in my eyes

"I have to tell you something"

"What is it?" my eyes were watering more and more

"Jack, tell me"

"Ok, ok, well, remember when i told you i couldn't hang out on Saturday?"

"Yeah, and" i'm crying harder than ever

"I c-cheated on you. With Clara" his eyes filled with tears

"W-what? my best friend? You kept this for a while didn't you? And you were worried about Matthew?!" 

"Look, babe, im s-sorry" 

"Don't you ever call me b-babe!!" i screamed

I ran out of his house. I ran as fast as I could. How could he? How? I went to the beach where Matthew was. He was sitting there.
