Snape's pov.

I look over at Dumbledore now that Margret was gone. "What is her story? Where did she come from? Who are her parents?" I ask mad that I was put in this situation without knowing anything about this girl. Dumbledore sighs before looking me over. "Now isn't the time for this." He says before sitting back down behind his desk. I walk over to his desk and slam my hands on it. "I have the right to know! I want to know who her parents are." I yell and he sighs before pulling out a book that was hidden away in his desk. "Understand I'm only telling you this because your asking and you do as you said have the right to know." Dumbledore says as he opens the book before stopping when he gets to the page he needs. He looks over the page before giving a small sigh and placing the book down so I could see the page. "Margret's mother is Angela Silence. Her father is you. You are legitimately her father Severus but she doesn't know it." Dumbledore says as I read over the information in front of me. I was shocked by this. I had a one night fling with Angela after hearing about Lily with James and never thought much of it until now. Now that I think over everything I could see the similarities between myself and Margret like our hair and her mother must have a cruel sense of humor for giving her my name as her middle name.

"Why didn't you ever tell me before now?" I ask not taking my eyes off the book in my hands as I look over everything once again. Dumbledore sighs before the book was taken from me. "You weren't ready to know about her yet Severus. This girl has been broken by her parents and now that she is here she is opening up a little." Dumbledore says as he closes the book. I look up at him shocked before backing up a few steps. "What about her not being able to talk? How did that happen and why is she so short for her age?" I ask now mad that I know about my daughter who was seriously hurt when she was younger. Dumbledore sighs before standing. "I was thinking of taking some of her memories to look over but thought against it. I don't believe her mind will survive if I were to do such a thing. I got her files from the muggle doctors throw." Dumbledore says before he pulls out some papers and setting them on his desk. "I haven't even read them yet so I honestly can't answer your questions." He says and I pick them up with shaky hands.  The rest of that night we went over reading over the papers that were there.

That day in class I see Margret half asleep in my class as I talked about this and that. Draco was shockingly patterned with her and doing the work as he talked happily with her. Margret gives a small silent sigh  as she sits up a little and helps a little with the potion but giving a few small yawns as she works. Draco leans in closer to her and says something. I was so focused on my daughter that I missed the small explosion and half heatedly take away points from the house that caused it. When class was over Margret looks over at me as if she had a question but shakes her head and leaves for her next class. It wasn't until later that night that I noticed how shaken up Margret looked and how she avoided others in her class more so than normal. I wanted to go over and ask her if she was alright but Lupin walks over to m pausing behind my chair. "Snape could we talk about one of the Slytherins. She had a hard time in class today and I'm a little worried about her." Lupin says and I nod before standing and following him silently into the hall way to talk.

"So who are we talking about?" I ask not really sure why he thinks I should care if a student is having a problem in his class. "Margret Hobblepot. We worked on bogarts today and she struggled with it. I understand the problems a witch who can't speak but she refused to go near it. I held her after class to work on the spell and the bogart turned into someone I believe hurt her." Lupin says and I stiffen a little as he talks about what happened to Margret. I give a small sigh before nodding my head as he talked more about how we should talk to her about her past and find out who hurt her and such. "I will deal with this." I say before walking away from him and head to my office writing a note telling Margret to come see me before she goes to bed. It was harder than I thought to act indifferent about the well being of my daughter now that I know that is who she was. I give a small sigh as I wait for her to come back from dinner and to come see me. I wasn't even sure how she was going to react to what I wanted to talk to her about.
