Charles 'Link' Neal wasn't really the man who you could picture being at a bar by himself at 2am on the weekend, no, he was more of a shy, feminine, dorky, adorable kinda guy. You would picture him as the guy obsessed with flower crowns, oversized sweaters and just pure cuteness, probably sitting in a field of grass or snuggled up in said sweaters. He was basically a little kid, his floofy hair, he described as wings and swoosh, his attitude, his personality.

Rhett McLaughlin was the complete opposite. A rowdy, loud, crazy, tough guy. You would most likely picture him as always wearing his thick black leather jacket and motorbike helmet, stealing from an old dinner or drinking like there's no tomorrow at some random bar. He was extremely tall and had a beard, that helping with everyone either being scared or intimated by him. He would sometimes be wearing the odd leather gloves or be seen off his motorbike, and this was when he somehow looked more scary or intimidating.

Link was sitting at the counter in Moe's Bar, as he decided to try and let go of his 'childish girly phase', as his parents had worded it, but he hadn't kept in contact with them after he moved away, as they did not like their son being gay, so he didn't know why their words kept coming back to him.

'What are you wearing? That's not your sweater, you're almost drowning in it. And what is on your head? They're for little girls!' His mother discarded his rose crown his boyfriend had made him. 'I like it. It makes him cuter.. " His boyfriend, Dan, mumbled. Teen Link blushed. 'Why do you care? And did you just say he looks cute?!' Link swallowed nervously. 'I care because I made it for him, and yes, I said he looks cute, in fact Link looks adorable.' Dan playfully flicked Link's nose. Dan wasn't scared of Sue as he thought most people would be as accepting as his parents but boy, was he wrong. Link's mother freaked out, scolding them how wrong it is, which it's not wrong at all. She banned Charles from ever seeing him again, ever seeing anyone again and as soon as he turned 18 and saved up enough money, he ran away to California.

He wrapped his hand around his beer as the bar tender put it down in front of him. He reached into his back pocket to grab his wallet, only to realise he didn't have it with him. "Shit.. I-I forgot my wallet.." He mumbled. "You can put that on my tab." He heard a deep voice from next to him. The bar tender smiled at the person, before he winked at Lincoln.

Link turned to his left, a big, tall guy had sat down next to next to him. He had dirty blonde hair that flew 2 inches into the sky and a fluffy looking beard that matched. He was wearing a red shirt, a black leather jacket, black leather pants and black biker gloves. Link gulped.

"T-thanks for that." Link nervously sipped his drink. "No problem, can't say I've never forgotten stuff." He chuckled. "By the way, you don't need to be scared, I don't bite!" This just made Link bring his glass back to his lips and gulp the strong burning liquid quicker. Rhett chuckled as he almost got halfway through the glass. When he turned away, Rhett could see the other man had quite a bad scar under where his fringe covered, he wanted to ask about that at one point. Link slowly brought the cup down.

"I-I'm not scared.." "Your voice crack says differently." The man stated, Link just nervously smiled. "My names L-Link Neal." He reached out a shaky hand. He clasped Link's hand tightly, shaking it. "Rhett, Rhett McLaughlin." He smiled a genuine smile, making Link slightly less nervous.

"So tell me a bit about yourself Link." "Well, I was born in and grew up in a small town in North Carolina, called Bouies Creek and I moved out here when I was 18." He didn't really want to tell Rhett about his personality, not quite yet. "May I ask why you moved out here?" Rhett asked, listening intently. "Uh.. Homophobic parents.." Link was nervous as to how he was gonna reply.
