Chapter 3: Dangered

Emily's POV

I got up and started to get ready for school when I noticed something beside my bed. It was a small white box with a letter on it. The letter read...
Dear Emily,
       I thought you might want to have this. I stayed up all night fixing it.
                        ~Damon

I set the letter down and opened the small white box. It had my mother's necklace that Stefan had previously destroyed. My eyes started watering, I thought I'd never see it again. I don't know why Elena thinks he is such a bad person. Damon is good.

"Emily?" "Yeah!" "Breakfast is ready." "K." I headed down the stairs and sat at the table by Jer and Elena, while Jenna put food in front of us.

After we ate breakfast I continued getting ready for school. (Outfit at the top) I got in the car with Bonnie, Caroline and Elena. They dropped me off at my school and drove to theirs. It was a normal school day, nothing unusual happened. I decided to walk home because it was a nice day out and I didn't feel like anything bad would happen.

On the way home I noticed a guy behind me. It felt as if he were following me. I kinda got freaked out, but didn't show it.

Just in case, i started to run because my house was just a block down. He started running after me. He was a vampire too. He used his vampire speed and grabbed my hair to stop me from going any further, pulling me back. I was about to scream when he covered my mouth to stop me. "Don't scream." He compelled, but I was wearing vervain. He bit into my neck as he muffled my screams. I passed out from the blood loss, but I knew Damon, Stefan, and Elena would save me. I just hope some time soon.

The Vampires POV

After I bit her neck I heard her struggle. I was muffling her screams so she can't be compelled. She must be wearing vervain.

After a while I felt her body go limp and her pass out so I stopped. I need to bring her to the location. She is the sister of a doppelgänger, and is also the key to breaking the sun and moon curse.

Klaus needs to kill one witch, vampire, werewolf, doppelgänger, and a girl relative of the doppelgänger. Without her, it won't work. She is the main part to the sacrifice about to be made.

Damon's POV

Stefan and I went to Elena and Emily's house to check up on them. We walked in the door to find Elena looking scared. "Stefan, I can't find Emily. She told me that she was gonna walk home from school but she never showed up. I've called the school and looked everywhere. She's no where to be found. I called Bonnie and she's gonna come over to do a locater spell." Stefan wrapped his arms around Elena and said. "We'll find her, don't worry."

Bonnie arrived about 5 minutes later and started the locator spell. "Emily's in an old abandoned house on the other side of town." I was already out of the house before she could even finish her sentence, I hopped in the car, and once everyone was in, I started driving.

Emily's POV

I opened my eyes and sat up quickly. That was until I realized the pain that shot through my body like lightning. I tried to get up but fell down from the amount of blood I had lost. I found a piece of cloth and held it to the open wound on my neck. Once again, I tried to stand up barely succeeded.

I walked very slowly and quietly up the stairs and looked over into the hallway. I saw the vampire start to walk towards me, and I stumbled backwards and fell. He pulled me up by my arm and said. "There's someone here."

Something swooshed past us and the vampire gasped. "WHOS THERE???" He yelled. Something swooshed past us again and the vampire grabbed me. "I have the girl! Now expose yourself, or she dies!!!" Something swooshed past us again and the vampire bit my neck on the other side. I screamed in agony, but something stabbed the vampire in the chest.

I fell to the ground while my vision started to fade, but then suddenly it started coming back when I felt Damon put his arm to my mouth. I knew what he was doing. He was saving me.

Damon's POV

Stefan stabbed the vampire and when I saw Emily fall, I used my vampire speed to get to her. Her eyes started to close but I bit my wrist and put it up to her mouth.  Her eyes started to open back up, and her face lit up when she saw me. She sat up and hugged me. I picked her up and put her in the car where Elena was waiting.

"Elena!" She said happily, as Elena did the same to Emily. Stefan and I hid the vampire's body and got in the car. "Who was he?" Emily asked. "I don't know." I replied. "Do you think that he's working for Klaus?" Elena asked. We didn't answer. If he was then that means that they are in danger. They don't even know that they are the key to breaking the sun and moon curse that Klaus has been trying to break for years. Stefan shot a glance of worry to me. We need to keep them safe.
