For the first time in a while, I feel loved. Damon walked me back to the Salvatore Boarding house, his fingers interlocked with mine. It was silent, but not an awkward silence. It was more of a comfortable silence, nobody needed to say anything. The moment was perfect. We both don't exactly know how it happened, but he is like my boyfriend now. It's just that the hard part is going to have to be telling everyone else about us.

I was about to follow Stefan and Elena out the door when Damon quickly grabbed my wrist gently and spun me around, holding me close to him by my waist. He kissed me and said, "You look hot!" With a smirk on his face. "Shh" I announced putting my finger up to his lips. "They can't know yet, remember?" Damon rolled his eyes. "I love you." He whispered with puppy dog eyes. "Emily, come on!" Elena yelled from the car. "Coming." I yelled back. "I love you too." I whispered pecking him on the lips then running out the door to get in the car. Butterfly's were still swarming in my stomach as my heart skipped a beat at him telling me that he loved me. We were planning on telling everyone else tonight, I wonder how they are gonna react.

"He's your boyfriend?" Elena asked. "Yes." I said calmly to her for the second time. Elena didn't take it that good at first but she eventually was ok with it. I starting thinking how weird my life was. I was just a kid whose parents died, but it's way more than that. The world isn't normal. The world has creatures in it. Vampires, werewolves, witches, hybrids. My life is weird, not normal. But it's just right for me. It's perfect. I'm lucky to have all these people in my life. Elena, Stefan, Jeremy, Bonnie, Caroline, Matt, Alaric, and the love of my life, Damon. I love them and they love me. That's all that I will ever want, and all I will ever need.
