The next morning Stiles woke up with a door closing. He jumped at the noise and looked at the door seeing Kira looking at the two. "Hey." She greeted him with a sad smile, slowly walking up to them. "Hey." Stiles said scratching his nose. She slowly walked up to Lydia's side, in across from Stiles and held her hand. "How is she?" She whispered looking at her. Stiles shrugged and looked down at his hands. "I don't know," He said. "And to be honest I'm scared." He confessed. Kira looked at him sadly. "And how are you?" She asked quietly.

Stiles shrugged. "I don't care about myself anymore." He said. They sat in silence for a while and looked at Lydia. "What happened?" She asked. "Aiden happened." That's all Stiles said. Anger came inside his body again, but he knew he couldn't do or say anything. It wouldn't be worth it, he still failed her.

"I don't know, I was on my way home and got a call from Lydia and she said someone was in the house. I heard her screaming for my help and she said he was there, then I realised she was talking about Aiden and I swear I tried but I didn't made it. I passed the speed limit and everything but when I got there she was..." He paused and swallowed hard to make the tears go away. "She was lying there, in the living room floor and Aiden was hiting her, I knew he was. But it was too late, I couldn't.... I couldn't save her from him." He sniffed and covered his eyes with his hands for a second. He couldn't cry, he wouldn't cry.

A couple of sniffs came out of Kira's mouth. When Stiles looked at her, he could see her tears streaming down her face but Kira was wiping them quickly. "She's gonna be fine." She whispered. Stiles nodded and looked down at his hands again, they stayed there in silence. After a while he had a sad smile on his face, he looked at Kira and his smile got brighter. She stared at him in confusion. "What?" She asked.

"I think you have some things to tell me." He guessed. "What?! No, I don't have nothing to tell you. Why would I have to tell you something? Scott should be the one to tell you something he's your best friend. I...I mean if there.... was something to tell you obviously." She rambled.

Since Friday night, Scott and Kira have been hanging out a few times lately. Scott has also been talking about her like it was the only think he could think about and that was okay for Stiles, as long as she didn't hurt him. He has been happy for both of them. They deserved each other, Scott hasn't been in a relationship for a while and the way it ended wasn't very... well... pleasant. Yeah, you could say that.

"Oh come on, what's the problem? You can't tell me?" Stiles asked pointing at himself. Kira shook her head and smiled. "No, it's just that... I think it should be Scott the one to tell you this." She answered with a soft smile on her face, she looked at Lydia and smiled. Stiles nodded understanding what she had said and took Lydia's hand in his and stared at her pale face, her hair wasn't as bright as it used to be but it was still the prettiest hair Stiles had ever seen.

"Well I have to go. I need to write the rest of my song and I have other things to do." Kira stood up from her chair, grabbing her brown Michael Kors bag holding it beside her peach coloured dress. Stiles stood up as well and watched her kissing Lydia's forehead goodbye. They both walked to the door and said their byes before sitting back down beside Lydia.

The machine kept beeping, Lydia was still with her eyes shut, with Stiles still holding her hand. The night repeated inside Stiles' head. He could sense how afraid she was through the phone. He tried to forget about but it was impossible. Specially when you have the victim lying in a hospital bed and you love them.

Love them.

Love her.

Lydia.

Stiles loves Lydia....

Stiles was so caught up in his thoughts that he didn't even felt the squeeze on his hand. Just a few seconds later there was another squeeze on his hand. He looked down at Lydia as she held his hand tighter for a second. That was enough to make him happy. "Lydia?" He said in a soft voice brushing her hair with his fingers. "Can you hear me?" Lydia squeezed his hand again and Stiles smiled brightly. He chuckled in happiness and brushed his hands through his dark hair. As he was about to tell her he was going to try and find Melissa, she walked in and stepped towards the two.

"So how-"

"She squeezed my hand." Stiles interrupted feeling proud of himself and extremely happy as well. Melissa smiled and walked over to the other side of the bed and held her hand. "Lydia can you hear me?" Lydia gently squeezed Melissa's hand before Stiles' . Melissa and Stiles both smiled at each other. It was like the day was beautiful outside and his heart was beating again.

A couple pf hours later, after talking a lot to Lydia, Stiles fell asleep in the same spot as he did everyday since she was in this hospital. But this time was different, Stiles fell asleep with a smile on his lips and woke up with a gentle hand on his arm. He looked up seeing Lydia there, awake, leaving, safe. All Stiles could do was smile before launching himself towards her to kiss her. Lydia let ou a giggle as Stiles kept repeating he was sorry and he was so glad she was awake. "Stiles it's fine. I'm fine." She said as her bodyguard sat back down. He shook his head, looked down and started drawing patterns on the blanket. "No, no it's not fine. You're not fine." He whispered. "I should have done something."

"It's not your fault okay? How were you supposed to know he was there-"

"But I was supposed to know he was there! A bodyguard always needs to know what's going to happen-"

"Stiles stop it! I'm fine, okay. It's not your fault." She gave him a sweet smile. Lydia never meant to make him feel this guilty, she felt like it was her fault too. She should have fought back too. I mean, that was one of the main reasons she asked him to train her. "What's on your mind?" Stiles asked. "Nothing," Lydia said not looking at him in the eyes. "It's just that... I should have known you know, I should have been able to protect myself like you taught me but I didn't. So don't blame yourself for it because none of this is your fault. It's my fault."

"Hey, hey, hey Lydia." Stiles reached over to touch her cheek. "Don't ever say that again. Ever Lydia. Look you couldn't have done anything about it, I'm the bodyguard and I'm-"

Stiles was interrupted by Lydia's loud groan. "Stiles stop it! I hate it when you say that! So, just because you're my bodyguard you think I won't let you have fun. Stop saying it like you need to take care of me and I'm a little baby!" She snapped. It was kind of true everything that she said but she never meant for it to come out like that.

Stiles stayed silent for a while, he tried to find any emotion in her eyes other than sadness and weakness. "I'm sorry. I just really don't want to loose you." He whispered. Lydia nodded and smiled saying she didn't want to loose him either. The two talked for a while but Lydia still felt a sore and she felt stinky as well. So, she forced Stiles to go home and get her a few clothes so she could take a shower. He took a while but when the door opened there he was with smile on his face and a gym bag on his hand, with new clothes and wet hair with a tight holding his body. That kind of turned Lydia on.

"Hey, I got your clothes." He said holding up the gym bag. Lydia smiled at him, when he was close enough, Lydia pulled him down by his shirt and kissed him deeply.  She only pulled away when they were both out of breath and had swollen lips.

"Right let me go take a shower." She said. She slowly tried to stand up but the pain was too much. Melissa had brought some painkillers but Lydia didn't take them. She wasn't with that much pain but now....

She quickly grabbed and swallowed them with a sip of water. While she was waiting for the painkillers to kick in, they talked about everything Lydia was doing at the studio and when the shoots would come out. Lydia also remembered she had an interview she needed to go to and it was really important, she had to be home Thursday maximum. She didn't how she make it.
