The next day, Lydia woke up in the same hospital bed she was in yesterday. They had to run some exams on her yesterday, just to check if everything was okay even though she ended up with a broken rib from the times Aiden kept punching her and kicking but other than that she was fine. Except for a couple of bruises here and there.
She never thought he would do something like this. Well her friends warned her saying he wasn't a good guy and all but this was just too far. Lydia just stared at the wall in front of her knowing Stiles wasn't there. He texted her, saying he just went to the Sheriff Station talk to his father and Scott that was all. Last night he Lydia made him promise he wouldn't say anything about Aiden just yet, she was scared he came back for her and do something worse.
A knock on the door interrupted her thoughts she turned her head to see who it was as she said come in. Melissa came in with a warming smile on her face, Lydia smiled back shyly as Melissa took slow steps towards her. "So, how are you feeling?" She asked kindly. Lydia didn't know what to say or think at this point. Lydia was feeling broken inside, she just found out that her husband didn't really love her and put her in a hospital bed with a broken rib and a few bruises. She felt hopeless and no way she was going to give even though there seemed to be no hope for her right now.
"Just a little sore." She said looking down at her hands. She didn't want the tears to slip away from her eyes but it was too late. Lydia whipped them quickly and looked up at Melissa. The nurse had a concerned look on her face. Like she was scanning Lydia for any other emotion other than pain. She stepped forward and place her hand on Lydia's covered leg. "Are you sure you okay?" She asked once again. "N-Yeah." She shook her head than quickly nodded biting her lip. She didn't wanted a nurse to know what was going on in her mind.
Melissa decided to not push anything further. She patted her leg gently and stepped away from the bed. "I'm gonna get you some painkillers." Lydia nodded thankfully. When Melissa closed the door behind her, Lydia let the silent tears fall. She now needed a shoulder to cry on but there was nobody there for her. She wondered if Stiles would take to long to come back so she decided to call him. On the third ring he answered.
"Hey Lydia." He sounded happy. "What do you have to tell me?" She asked suspicious. "What do you mean?" He asked innocently. "You're hiding something Stilinski." She said. Stiles' voice was way too happy for some reason like he just won a new car or something. "I'm just happy to hear your voice." He whispered. "Why are you whispering?" Lydia asked furrowing her eyebrows. "Because I can't be like 'oh look everyone I'm talking to Lydia Martin', right?" Lydia rolled her eyes and smiled. "You're right." She said still with a smile on her face.
"Aha. Told ya!" He said. "Hey Stiles who you're talking to?" A voice in the background asked. "No one dad." He sighed. Lydia could see him rolling his eyes. Lydia smiled, she felt like a teenage girl again. "Then why do you have the phone in your ear and you're walking away if you're not talking to anyone?" His dad asked. Lydia bit her lip to contain from laughing but failed at the attempt. "Hey Lydia don't laugh it's not funny." That made Lydia laugh even harder her side was hurting from laughter but she couldn't help herself.
"So it's a girl! Lydia uh? Let me see."
"No dad."
"Come on Stiles."
"Dad-"
"Give me that." There was a noise on the other line that made Lydia cringe a little. "Hello, Lydia!" Sheriff Stilinski said. You could already imagine the smile on his face. "Hi Mr. Stilinski." She said shyly. "Dad!" Lydia heard Stiles in the background complaining. That made Lydia giggle a little. "So Lydia, how are you?"
