chaeah's spiritless footsteps were audible as she walked onto the school's roof. the night sky stretched above the roof.

mark's words were still hanging over chaeah like a dark cloud. 

"i don't even know who you are..." "i don't even know who you are..." "i don't even know who you are..."

sighing, chaeah plopped down on the ground, closing her eyes.

maybe if i count down from 10, you'll magically appear.

chaeah slowly opened her eyes, one by one. half of her expected mark to be standing there, with his beautiful smile, looking down at her lovingly.

but the other half knew he wouldn't be there.

because he had completely forgotten about her. 

chaeah fell in disappointment when she saw the empty rooftop, wind blowing through her hair.

click... swing... bang... 

the girl's heart leaped out of her as the door opened.

"who's there?" the guy's voice rang through chaeah's head.

chaeah jumped up from her spot as she saw the boy.

"um, it's me," chaeah said, standing up. she could hear her legs wobbling and her voice shaking.

"who?" mark said, walking closer to see, squinting. "oh..." 

chaeah looked down at the ground, tears clinging onto her eyeball. she tried her best to keep it that way.

"nice to meet you, i'm-"

"why are you trying so hard to ignore me?"

"what are you talking about? i don't think we know each other..."

"you don't remember me?"

"huh?"

chaeah lifted her head, taking a wobbly step closer to her boyfriend. 

"would you remember if i do this...?" chaeah said, tugging mark's hand.

she sat on the roof, bringing mark next to her. 

for a few minutes, they watched the stars above them in silence. chaeah could hear mark's breathing.

"do you remember now?" chaeah whispered to mark, turning around to see mark's face.

"yeah," mark mumbled, keeping his eyes directed towards the stars.
