"Ha ha ha..." I tried to laugh it off. "Yeah, the thing is Alex vampires are not real." Alex was so serious it was- was... I didn't believe him my heart was climbing up my throat. The leg, the blood, the- the bite. When I thought he kissed me, it wasn't a kiss it was how how I am now a vampire.
I must have said the last part out loud as Alex began to talk about how else he needed to prove it. I said nothing, he didn't have to prove it any more, it all adds up.
I rushed to my room and started to pack all of my important items. I went to grab the curtain to close them but I guess I hadn't got used to my own strength as instead of just drawing the curtain the whole pole holding it up crashed to the floor. Dust and wood surrounded me on the floor. Alex immediately rushed to my room, he just stood there staring at me and the mess.
"Don't worry, when I was a new born I broke my whole wardrobe." I couldn't help but laugh.
"Come on we better get ready." I yawned I was extremely tired, my eyes felt heavy and I couldn't keep them open much longer.
"I'll get you a blanket so you can sleep on the sofa. I'm exhausted from the long day."
"Lola, vampires don't sleep." He had a puzzled expression on his face.
"Well obviously I'm not a vampire then." I had my head up high as if to say, I told you so. He grabbed his phone and rushed to the bathroom. I heard the lock click behind him.
I was to tired to care any more, so I finished packing and got into bed. At first I thought I was going to go to sleep instantly. But to much was whirling around in my mind, so many questions but no answer.
I laid awake, eyes wide open but tired as hell I was sweating like a pig. None of the radiators was on so it was only stress. The lights were off and the window - the one with the broken curtain- seemed like someone had covered it with a jet black piece of card.
After about an hour of no sleep Alex tiptoed out of the bathroom, I could see his shadow from the bathroom light.
"Who was it?"
"Lola are you still awake?"
"I can't sleep it's to hot." I complained knowing that he couldn't do anything, but I was wrong. He came and sat next to me on my bed. His cold skin was the perfect temperature for me to fall asleep.
He started to play with my hair twisting it between his fingers, it soothed me to sleep in no time.
I woke up and the sun streamed through my window, it was hot and my face became itchy and sore. I looked around to find Alex sitting on the cream armchair in the corner of the room. He looked up and saw my red face he immediately took action and picked up the curtain to cover the bare window.
"Does it still hurt?"
"Not as much but it does sting a little." I was truthful it did sting from where I was itching it. I got out of bed, still wearing the hospital gown, and went to the bathroom, there wasn't any windows in there. I was safe from the fire ball in the sky.
Alex walked in - the door was wide open so he knew he wasn't intruding- "your face is fine know."
"How come the sun doesn't affect you?" I was curious now "I thought vampires don't sleep or like the sun."
"Well.." he was thinking about the answer he was going to give me so it made as much sense as possible."you Lola, you are special. Half human, half vampire. George Grey knows everything about vampires and werewolves."
"Werewolves?!" I was shocked, now there is werewolves! More and more confusing I every time we spoke.
" George Grey is a werewolf/ vampire, changed to a vampire/ werewolf after imprinting on a vampire."
"Isn't werewolves and vampires enemies?" My mind was about to explode with all this information.
