DECISION TAKEN

Akira’s POV

   After debating with myself for almost 30 minutes I took the decision of my life. This is the decision which changes my life completely by 360 degrees. I just hope I don’t regret it later. I have a feeling now everything will be fine. But still I don’t want my hopes up incase everything goes wrong.

“YES” I said to the patient calm 2 pairs of eyes in front of me. The emotion that overflowed from their eyes and the broad smiles they had now on their faces clearly showed the effect my decision on them. They were so happy that I am sure their jaws must have started hurting only in the past 2 minutes.

All of a sudden Jay Singh (scratch that it’s a new beginning). All of a sudden my father came towards me and held me in a tight embrace.

“Thank you so much. This means a lot Akira. Thank you for giving us the chance. I will make it up to you for all the previous years. And please don’t hesitate for anything. You can demand anything you want. It’s your right. Don’t hesitate please you are, our daughter we would love it if you demand from us as our child without hesitating.” My father said this to me while crushing me in his embrace.

“Jay, let her breath first at least. You are crushing her. And move a side she is my daughter too let me also talk to her and hug her. Get a side you rock.” My mother shouted at my father for not giving her space with me. I wonder how a person can be this strong. I couldn’t even budge in his embrace. I chuckled when mom called dad a rock. Wait..!! Did I just address them as mom and dad?

I guess I should get used to it.

My mom came to me and hugged me as dad left me with a pout. My mom is soft and gentle. “Thank you I can’t wait to take you home with us. Finally our family will be complete” She said to me happiness dripping with every word she speaks.

“Even I am happy to give you guys a chance. But there is something I want to discuss with you both before we take any other step for our family.” I said and their expressions changed into fear as if I was leaving them or rejecting to be with them.

“Don’t worry I m not going to say no to you both. Dad you said right, that I can ask for whatever I want. So I am just going to do-” Dad cut me mid sentence “What did you say?” he asks me surprised written all over his face.

“I said I am asking for a few things from you both as you said I can.” I replied with confusion.

“No not that you called me dad. I am talking about that.” He cleared my confusion. “Oh that! I guess you guys being my parents and me giving you guys a chance means I should completely accept you both as my parents so why not call you both mom and dad.” I said and again they smile broadly in understanding.

“So as I was saying I want you guys to agree on some conditions I have before I move to Mumbai.” I told them with a lot of determination.

“We will agree with all your conditions at only one from our side. And that will be your security. I am not saying huge 4 to 5 men will always surround you, but 4 to 5 men in casuals will always be near you. They won’t be in the same car but driving near you when you travel and anywhere else you go they will be near you always and keeping an eye for any threat or danger. If you agree on this first I will agree on how many ever conditions you have let it be anything” my dad asked me.

Smirking I replied, “Of course that’s no issue. But as you said they won’t surround me like they surround you.”

“Yes, that will be taken care of and now back to your conditions.” He said to me. My mom smiled.
