Chapter 2;
The entire campsite was in utter silence... Until the shadow was so close to me that I could just about see who it was...
I was just about to scream but I felt a hand grasp around my body and gently lift me onto my feet. It was DJ.
As I stood up, I was hastily planning to escape, afterall he was very strong so that failed because he was holding onto my wrists.
When his hand was completely off his deep voice began to talk in a low tone saying...
"Please don't try to scream or shout for help because you'll disturb the whole camp and cause trouble for only yourself and I, I'm only out here to take a stroll"
"That's the first and last thing you'll do before I report you to the head of camp !"
"Calm down, Your not gonna 'cause you'll get into trouble if they found out you left your tent without a pass"
Now I thought about that I realised how dumb and childish I must've sounded. Then out of nowhere I saw that he was holding out a blanket for me to keep warm.
"What are you doing out here?" He asked inquisitively.
"Just catching some fresh air, somehow I forgot to bring my pass along with me, sorry for threatening you. I know you're only trying to help"
"It's alright, let's just bring you back, there's only 3 more minutes left until it's time for the showers, now where is your tent set?"
Hold upppp! Where did all the time go?
My lips went cold as I mumbled the words "C...c...centre field 9"
When we were there he said
"I've gotta go now, keep safe my sweet"
As I gave DJ a "thank you so much for not snitching on me for not having a pass" hug before he left and zipped open the tent and got in, I saw an annoyed J looking back at me with a card in his hand.
"Where have you been?" He queried,
"Just out to catch some fresh air"
"Who was that you were talking to?"
"Just a friend"
"Just a friend huh? What kind: boy or girl?"
"J!" I said in distress
"Answer me!"
"It was DJ"
"DJ?"
"What's wrong J?"
"It's just... well... I like you very much and to hear that you were out with him makes me feel crushed"
I felt astonished when he said that!😍😊
"We're only friends and by the way he was just trying to help me back to the tent 'cause I forgot my pass"
"Oh, well if that's the true reason... I'm sorry for letting out my anger on you"
(We both hug each other sympathetically) , whilst still in the unbelievable moment I asked...
"J, are you sure that you actually like me?"
"Yeah of course I am, why wouldn't I be?"
"Just curious that's all"...
The beeps go off signalling that it's time for the midnight showers to begin... This felt like a true love movie... 😚
