Chapter 4;
After lunch finished we headed off to the sport court to do abit off basketball , because we had to exercise our muscles after all that hiking , I hate b-ball so much because back in highschool when we had championships I slipped in front of the crowd and the other highschool which wasn't funny at all.
In the girls changing rooms ...
(I hid behind one of the curtains in my changing room, putting my backpack on a bench whilst trying to ignore the other girls talking about me indirectly)
"Haaahaahah, I know right, she's such a goody two shoes and doesn't wear luscious Mac makeup, but wears oily Benifit makeup instead, she needs beauty tips". Stated Kaitlyn,
no offence yeah, but she has a lot of mouth for a white girl, just because she's popular doesn't mean she has an advantage, but you know what? I wouldn't be able to say it to her face so I might as well just let it in. *takes a long, deep sigh*
I felt like crying but instead I quickly got dressed and put some "Fergie" body spray on, afterwards, I stormed out locking my changing room behind me. I could hear countable voices gossiping carelessly as I closed the doors.
In the court I decided to stretch first before attempting to "throw a basket" and was interrupted by croaky voices...
"Hi Zenah, I know you're not in the mood. By the way those girls are really rude to you. I could hear them
from the boys changing rooms , and, just to let you know, I love your makeup".
"Yeah, me too" .
It was two of those geeks I did my science project with last summer... What were their names again? Christine and Fern? Noah and Kat? Naaaah. I can't remember. And why are they stalking me for? What do they want? OMD!
"Thanks... Urmm, what are your names? and you two are really nice"
"Terry"
"Valorette"
Okay, so just to be sure how they looked; Terry was white, had braces in his mouth, with honey eyes and ginger hair and Valorette was also white, with blonde hair, had a zit on her chin with grey eyes. There. Easy as pie.
"Soooo... Why exactly are you guys here?" I snapped as I finished doing my star jumps.
Both Terry and Valorette look at eachother and say in unison "Well. We just thought you needed cheering up, that's all"
"Aw, just the thing I need, Hey! I just got the greatest idea, d'you two wanna join me playing b-ball?"
What I thought...
Seriously Zenah? Slick move. Great. Asking two geeky geeks to play basketball. Perfect choice eh?...
Just SHUTUP conscience!
"Sure, why not?"
The three of us head off to the equipment stack to get a ball,
But guess who was there!!!??? Yeah good guess. It was Joel!
I turned my head and quickly muttered to Ter-Ter and Val (see what I did there? I gave them nicknames lol) to go get the ball off the rack. Then waited for him to leave. But he didn't. He's too curious and he just had to come over, didn't he?
"Heeeeeeyyyyy tent buddy-bud-bud!" He said whilst giving me a friendly punch on my arm
I gulped thinking my plan was totally unsuccessful.
