Chapter 5;
Ugh! Today it was raining hailstones (more like cats and dogs) and I was fully prepared.
We had so much to do today and I hope the sun comes out soon!
I decided to wear my glasses and read a book with the radio on, apparently, Kate Middleton now officially known as Princess Kate had had a baby christening. I soon got tired and luckily the guide blew his whistle and it was time for climbing... And guess what!? The sun is out!!! Whoop!
So all I needed to do was get my equipment, wear my climbing trainers and prepare my rope.
This time I wore the camp shirt and had to take it off because of the weather and so did the others.
Since it wasn't my first time I eagled my way past everybody else and when I reached the top boy oh boy I didn't have the courage to look D.O.W.N!!! It's not as easy as it looks in the movies. So I held my breath and made my way downwards. I got my 19th and 20th badge today for being a good sport and completing a complicated task. I'm such a happy bunny! (Now I see why them gurls think imma goody two shoes)
Whatever! They don't matter atm.
So we then trailed towards the sunbathe parlour which wasn't fancy at all 'cause our lame teacher Ms. Garlic says "we come here to be one with mother natures natural features, not to harm our beautiful planet".
You didn't have luxuries like tanning booths etc. you just had a plain ol' second hand blanket that stank of other peoples B.O x100 and the sun.
We didn't even get enough time cause she also says "staying under the sun too long ruins your body posture" . Maaaaan! Somebody really needs to introduce this woman into "the real world" ASAP. Cause her theories are for old-experienced people with lots of granddaughters and grandsons, not for teens . And I mean it. No joke.
So then it was obviously time for ...
Location tracking.
*talks very fast* Which involves using a compass, which is confusing but at the same time fun and awesome which at the same time is mind blowing, WHICH, at the same time is great. *breathes in for air*
Kaitlyn caught my eye. And "Loser" signed me. I lipsed the words
"Immature ".
Then she walked up to me and exclaimed " the 80s called, they want their bob back "
Oh, you wish ! somebody let me at her!
I Usain Bolt/Mo Farah-ed my way over to her, took out my stud earrings, threw her, stepped on her hand that clasped her compass and tug fiercely at her hair, I beat that girl so bad she was bleeding and couldn't even let out her fake cries at the end. I know it was bad but we all learn from our mistakes and I think this was what the gurl deserved. Serve her damn right! As the blood dripped down her face she cried ...
"Stop stop I'm sorry for all I've done, I was just jealous with you for your good looks and personality, please, forgive me!"
I unbelievably let her go from my grip and still wanting to finish her off said
"You"ve got what you needed, you can have him if that's what you crave for every single day and night"
Surprisingly, the teachers weren't supervising us and nobody snitched on me, I guess they thought she needed that too.
In the jaccuzi...
As I dipped my toes into the pool with my newly bought swim suit on, I felt really bad and needed some cheering up, real bad! Just then did Ter-Ter and Val come over and say
"Heard what you did, knocked the knuckles right off of Kaitlyn's fists, why'd you do it Z?"
"I couldn't hold it in no more, all those many days of hating myself for not knowing why she never liked me, calling me names, bullying, text messages, the parties I was never invited to. EVERYTHING. And yet still, today I had enough courage and took action and solved my own problem. I regret doing it physically but at least this is finally over!"
Joel walked over to me and said
"Zenah, there's something you need to know..."
"What is it?"
"Will you accept to be my ever loyal fiance?"
"Yes. Yessss. YES!"
(I wander off to the day of me and J's sweet wedding and think happy thoughts whilst he slips a ring onto my finger)
" Oh thank you Joel! There's something you've gotta know too!"
"What?"...
"I love you"
We suddenly go in for a timeless kiss, this was my Cinderella moment, if only mum was here, hold on a second, I have a camera...
*takes a photo of me and Joel kissing*
The last activities were canceled because they found a difficulty preparing equipment but as we packed away to go home from this tiring journey, I felt like a new me, wasn't that awkward?
Before I got on the coach I said silent goodbyes to the place I called "home" for 10 days and left a Locket with a photo of me in 7th grade safely tucked under the garden soil as a reminder .
The journey back was loooong! I went to sleep and when I woke up we arrived and I saw mum and Eva and ran straight to 'em.
"My baby!"
"Mom, Eva, I'm home"
And before I left I looked over at my new set of friends
*i carelessly ran over to them and brought them both into a tight warm embrace *
"Thanks guys, it seems like we've been together so long and we've only just met, see ya both at college and God bless ya'll."
I close my house door behind me and mum told me I had a big surprise waiting for me!
It was dad. Turns out he got arrested by accident, never left us either, he just was never with us and mum thought he left but best thing is... he's back! We cuddle together for the family hug, Eva took the photo this time.
6 years had past by and Zenah graduated from college got married to Joel and had become a specialist in realtors ' business and Joel was a full time hard working known footballer and they had a child called Sapphire (who looked like her dad a lot ) and they lived happily ever after.
The End.
