"Are you ready to go?" My mom yelled from the other side of the house, obviously rushing around from the panic of the morning.

"Yeah!" I shout back as I pulled my shirt over my head shifting to sit in my chair. I hooked my bag to the back and left the room, I got a new cast on a few days ago that didn't cover my elbow anymore so I could push myself again now.

"There's my handsome man" my mom smiled fixing my hair to her own specifications before taking over my chair pushing me out to the car. I smiled softly not minding as much as I used to, I still didn't like it all that much but I accept that I could use a little help sometimes.

My mom was smiling as she lifted me into the seat. She comments a lot on how my mood has improved since moving here, which wasn't wrong, I was usually in a better mood since I made friends with people here, especially Nico. I can't explain it but he is just interesting and one of the nicest to me. The whole group is really great actually.

As I roll into the school I look around outside the office for Nico because he usually waits for me in the morning...but he wasn't there today. He probably just got busy with something so I didn't think much of it as it started to roll to my first period class, until I felt someone grab the back of my chair making my heart stop for a second before I heard them speak,"you finally tired of me Solace?" Nico chuckled from behind me so I could see him. I was so relived that it was only him, there had been many times where my bullies had done the same thing then pushed me down the hallway to run into people or wheeled me outside where I couldn't open the door.

"You okay?" He asked shaking me out of my thoughts,"sorry if you're mad about me not being there my sister was dragging me around..." he scratched the back of neck frowning softly.

"No! I'm not mad I was just a little surprised when you stopped me" he gave him a smile.

"Eh sorry I won't do it again" he chuckled and walked back behind me starting to push along to Algebra.

"Niiiiico, I can push myself" I whined at him.

"I know, I know, but why can't I help?"

"I don't want you to feel like you have to push me around anymore"

"Will, if I didn't want to push you I'd be in class already"

"Fiiine but I'm pushing myself to English"

"Alright Mister difficult" he laughed softly and walked into the classroom pulling out the chair that was under my desk in the back and pushing me into the empty space,"Looks like Olsky's not here yet" he grinned.

"Maybe he finally realized he hates kids and left teaching for good" I joke getting my binder out and opening it to last nights homework.

"Maybe we'll have a sub today and I'll get a day of peace" he smiled as he looked down at his arm doodling in black ink.

"You're going to get some disease from ink going to your brain, di Angelo"

"No I'm not, Solace, shut your trap" he rolls his eyes and traces over a faded swirl mark.

"When you're in the hospital I'll be there to say I told you so"

"So you won't be there to kiss it better for me?" he looks at me with one of his stupid smirks that make me want to kiss him and smack the look off his smug face.

"Maybe if you ask nicely"

Nico just snorts and shakes his head going back to his doodling as Mr. Olsky walks in the room moments before the first bell rings and so the hell of algebra begins.
