We got to the classroom right as the bell rang. Nico wheeled me towards a free seat in the back moving the chair that was already occupying space pushing me into the space, then moving to sit in what I presumed to be his own seat.

"di Angelo, Would you like to explain why you're late yet again?" the teacher asks annoyed. The teacher was an ancient looking man with a salt and pepper beard and hair, a pair of bifocals hung low on his nose.

"Technically sir I was in the room when the bell rang so I wasn't late" Nico speaks up.

"You and your other delinquent friend were not in your seats when the bell rang therefore you are late" he scolds,"Now I want to know why you were late and interrupted my class"

I was a little annoyed that this guy probably didn't even know my name yet and was already labeling me as trouble.

"I didn't realize the elevator would take so long" he admits.

"Why did you take the elevator? I see nothing wrong with your legs"

"I don't mean to be disrespectful sir but I was assisting my new friend and he is confined to wheelchair sir"

"One more stunt like this and you'll both have detention"

"Yes Mr. O" Nico sighs.

"Yes Mr. Olsky" he corrects.

"Yes Mr. Olsky" Nico repeats.

"Right nowI'll take roll," he announces.

He says a bunch of names but I don't listen, my first period of the day and I already want to go home and stay in bed for ever.

"Hey new kid in the back you're not on my roster" he says his hard gaze focusing on me.

"I'm William Solace Mr.Olsky" I say trying not to seem like I was shaking.

"I really don't care who you are, if you're starting to hang out with that trouble maker you're not good news" he says pointing to Nico.

"Sorry sir I'll make better choices in the future" I lie wondering what the extremely cute black haired boy had done to get on this teacher's bad side to the extent that anyone who hung out with was on his bad side two.

"He's really the only jerky teacher" Nico assures me as we make our way to our english class on the other side of the building.

"What you do to make him so pissed at you?" I ask curiously.

"well you see he's been teaching since this school's been open and he apparently taught my dad when he went here" He began," And apparently my dad was quite the trouble maker and made his year a nightmare, So he expects me to be the same way and has hated me all year, One problem that I forgot to do one the homework any other kid would get off with an remember to do it next time but I get five extra hours of homework to do so I don't miss all my homework points and flunk his class"

"That seems like a pretty unreasonable thing to hate someone over it must really suck" I say knowing how it sucks to be bullied.

"Not really there's usually always one teacher who hates my guts, I've learned to deal with it the same way I deal with Octavian and his goons. But today they almost put me over the edge, it's one thing to hate and bully me, I don't really care anymore, but they stared doing it to you, they just fucking met you and there already categorizing you into a group like your some kind of animal. It makes me loose faith in this school, why I don't care about not being popular I'm just fine with my small group and if you want to join we'd be happy to have you but if don't if you want to try to befriend some of the assholes in this school I won't hate you" he says. The way he says it how much passion he put into his words as he said about how mad he was for me have the prejudice on me it made me think that someone might actually care for me.

"Do you mind if I ask you I question?" I blurt out.

"Not at all ask away"

"When Octavian was insulting you he called you a-" I can't bring myself to say it I had been insulted with this word so many times I can't bring myself to say it.

"A fag?" he asks and I nod,"Well it's true I'm just bout as straight as a circle. I don't care about wearing it on my sleeve but he has some vendetta against homosexuals it's really weird, To avoid him I help out Mrs. Kerr in the guidance office she writes me a past as to why I'm always late to my first period class life moves on" he shrugs and before I realize it we're at the room and Nico is pushing my chair gently into an open seat beside his own.
