I excused myself from the group bowing my head to Davika, I had no idea if the ginger bitch was older than me or not but I wasn't risking it- after having bad experiences in the past when I had first moved to Korea.
I walked away to go PDnim. He had some fucking explaining to do. I travelled through the corridors, glaring at a vending machine I had beef with, (bastard didn't give me my sandwich). As I strolled through them, looking down at my phone, I collided with someone exiting a bathroom quite violently.
"Shit." I cursed in English. I looked up ready to lecture them about 'watching where they were going'. The guy I had just knocked into looked up from his phone. His brow furrowed and his lips curled downward, I probably mirrored this expression.
"Watch where you're going." We both spat in sync. He raised his eyebrow at me as if he hadn't expected the words to come from my mouth. That's when I realised.
"What?" He asked me, his frown turning into a slight smile. I didn't really want to apologise but like...
I sighed, "Sorry Sunbae." I started to walk away but he lifted his hand to grab my jumper sleeve. I really could not be arsed with a bitchy sunbae at the moment. I turned to look at him raising one eyebrow as I did.
I had been told by many people in Korea that it was clear I was born and raised in the west. They usually assumed I was American, since apparently Europe didn't exist. I had been called rude many times, as well as stupid and ignorant. It didn't usually bother me; I was raised in a different culture and I didn't really mind learning. But I really wanted to rant and being scolded by some idol rapper was not on my to do list.
I had to hold my tongue and not spit "what?" into his face.
"Yes." I smiled.
"Nothing." He sighed swiping his dark hair from his eyes.
Seriously.
As I turned away I realized that he was following me. I frowned as he passed me still looking at his phone.
Rude.
As I continued to walk down the corridor it probably looked like I was following him however, much to my relief, he passed PDnim's office. I took in a deep breath before knocking on the door. There was no answer. I felt my stomach clench, oh god I wanted to cry, I was going to have to knock again.
After debating knocking again or just walking away, the office door swung open.
PDnim put his finger to lips gesturing to the phone he had against his ear. He beckoned me into his office shutting the door behind me.
I sat in the chair in front of his desk, he made his way to his own chair and began to finish off his conversation.
"Yes, I know she's your sister but I believe it will be best for you, no," he paused for a good amount of time, I pretended that I wasn't listening into his conversation, "I see, that is true, anyway I have to go we'll talk again, yes, thank you for your time, goodbye."
He hung up the phone and looked at me. Slowly he leant forward on his desk placing his forearms down.
"I was expecting you to stay behind and talk to me but you ran off."
"Yeah, I... I thought that you weren't going to put me in a group. I thought that I was just going to act." I said wringing my hands together.
"Well Seulrae, originally that was the case for you. I have a new idea, I didn't want to waste your talents on a simple girl group concept." He looked at me leaning further forward.
