~~Yes this is late, and I'm sorry

I awoke to wet kisses and bright light seeping through closed curtains. I stretched my arms, bringing them up to my face to shield myself from the elements. I cracked open an eye lid, slowly adjusting to this morning glory.

"Emm Bandit, five more minutes," I groaned. I heard a chuckle followed by footsteps.

"No can do princess." A voice called. Me, in my groggy stupidity, unable to comprehend the situation shrieked in terror. My dog had just talked. A loud laugh answered my reaction. When I finally came to my senses I quickly grabbed a pillow.

"Don't you know how to knock?" I exclaimed, throwing a pillow at Chris. "How'd you get in anyway?"

"Clare let me in." he stood there, hands deep in his pockets, at the end of my bed.

"Right." I pealed of the covers, cold air flocking to my legs. I stumbled over to my dresser, grabbing a random pair of jeans and the muscle tank I bought the other day. Not bothering to leave the room to pull on my clothing, considering I had slept in my under garments.

"Not my first choice for a work outfit, but I guess it could work." Chris shrugged.

"At least I'm not dressed like a horny teenager." I smirked, leaving the room wearing a pair of shades. He followed behind me and Bandit bounded down the stairs.

"Touché," he remarked. I took the steps two at a time on my way out the door. I figured I would take Bandit to the park and then to work with me. I stopped in the kitchen to grab some water and a granola bar. Clare was already there reading over something while eating a bowl of cereal. "So what are your plans for today?"

"Well, not that it's any of your business, but I'm taking Bandit to the park before work." I answered his question whilst pouring the dog some water and food.

"You're going to meet me at the airport at four, right?" Clare interjected.

"Yep, wouldn't miss it." I said, slinging my bag over my shoulder. I clipped the leash on Bandit, heading towards the front door, giving a little wave to Clare.

"What's at four?" Chris asked, following me out the front door.

"Her flight back to Nashville." I answered, opening my car door for Bandit.

"Oh. So, uh, you mind if I come with?"

"To the park? Uh, yeah I guess." Chris hopped into the passenger seat, Bandit in the back, while I started the car. "I have to stop at the store first, though." he nodded.I pulled up into the parking lot. "You coming?" I asked as I got Bandit from the back.

"Uh, yeah." he replied, bailing from the hunk of metal. The automatic doors rolled open when we approached. Bandit trotted along beside me as I roamed the many isles. "Don't we need a cart?" Chris asked.

"You're a tough guy," I said patting his shoulder, "I figured you could just carry it all."

"Oh really? And what are you going to carry?" he stopped following me around. When I turned to face him his hands were placed firmly on his hips. I had to stifle a laugh to speak my next remark.

"Nothing." I spoke, busying myself by looking at the toys on the nearby shelf.

"And why's that?"

" 'Because I'm a lady, that's why.' " I said quoting The Arisocats, lifting my chin up to the sky for emphasis.

" 'You're no lady, you're nothing but a sister!' " he quoted, pointing a finger at me to add effect. I gasped, faking to be offended. I turned away from him, holding a hand to his chest. I heard him run up from behind me. He now placed his hands on my hips. "Aww Marie, you know I didn't mean it." I looked away from him. "Your a lady. Your lots of lady. Your once, twice, twenty times a lady." he said quoting one of his lines.
