~~This chapter's going to be super long and with different point of views because I wanna make up for being so late on updating.

"When it rains on your parade, look up rather than down. Without the rain, there would be no rainbow."

-Gilbert K. Chesterton

"You wanna feel the rain?" April laughed.

"I wanna feel the rain." I stated again.

"How do you 'feel the rain?'" Andrew asked, tipping his beer bottle between his hands. I shrugged, looking around at the three others before me. Chris has a bright smile plastered on his face, which was twisted to match the confused faces of Andrew and April. The steady patter of raindrops filled each brief silence. The clatter of bottles and the gnawing of Bandit's bone, aided by sudden fits, accompanied in harmony.

"I dunno, on of my favorite quotes is about some people feeling the rain and how others just get wet. I mean, In a way I do feel the rain, but only in the sense that I feel wet. I know there's a deeper meaning to 'feel' and I wanna know what it's like." In the time it had taken me to say this April and Andrew had exchanged looks various times, as if to hold in laughter. When I finished it was like I had commanded an army to fire, bursts of snorts and hisses emitted from the two.

I rolled my eyes at the them, but Chris seemed to actually be listening to what I had said. "You sound ridiculous." April jeered.

"'It's better to be absolutely ridiculous then absolutely boring.'" I countered.

"Marilyn Monroe," Chris marveled. The slight smile that played on his lips said that he was surprised, but please, to know I knew such a quote. I returned it, the feeling being mutual. He slowly lifted a bottle to his mouth, sipping, swishing, gulping, his beverage. For whatever reason I found that unbearably attractive, forcing myself to look away.

"Can't argue with that," April laughed again after slightly glancing between Chris and I.

"Uh, so what are we doing today?" Andrew spoke up, a questioning look on his face.

"Um, well since it's raining..." April began.

"Indeed it is..."I laughed.

"You can't exactly go to work today, correct? So I was thinking movie day?"

"Sounds great to me." Andrew chuckled, joined by Chris.

"Great so it's a da- I mean it's set." I corrected myself, then excused myself upstairs for a while. Flopping down on my duvet, I sighed. That had been close. The floor boards creaked, but I didn't stir from my position. I did however flip on my back when I felt a towering presence over me.

"Ya know you're kind of strange." Chris huffed with a smile. He sagged on the mattress beside me. "But," he paused, "I think it's kind of cute."

Maybe it wasn't just how his voice was kind of raspy and his hair was a little ruffled. Or how his smile lit up his eyes. Or even the little huff of a laugh he added at the end. Maybe it was just that he thought it was cute.

Either way, my heart was ecstatic. A pulse of electricity was sent from the moment he said it. I don't think my heart regained its composure until long after he patted the space between us and then rested his hand on mine. These gestures only added to the ecstasy. My lips involuntarily lifted into a smile, which in turn received an even bigger on from him.

I don't think it was then I fell in love. It might as well have been. Now that I think about it, it was pre-falling in love, if there ever was such a thing. All the signs were there, heck everything was there. Though at the time I just didn't want to fall in love, I couldn't fall in love. That's changed though.
