Hayes
I walked out the cafeteria as I had finished my lunch & was getting my notes for my next class. From a distance I saw someone cleaning out their locker & taking out all their books & putting them on the floor. I walked closer & realised who it was.
"Hey," I greeted nervously as I looked at her dull, kinda sad, unsatisfied face.
"Hi," Jody said mutely.
"So what's going on?" I asked.
"I'm leaving," she blurted out.
"What?" I asked with a confused look.
"That record label agreed to sign me & it's all the way in England so I'm moving there. It's my last day here," she looked down at her books & shrugged.
"Well that's great," I started & it stayed silent for a while. Awkwardly silent.
"Look Jody, I'm sorry what happened to us. I was a dick. Really I was. But in a way, it's good this happened because I knew I was gonna tie you down & keep you from achieving your dreams," I explained & she stopped packing & looked at me.
"It's okay Hayes. But you do realise that we can't be together right?" she asked & I nodded my head. She picked up her stuff with a big black bag filled of her books & looked back at me.
"You were my dream Hayes. But I guess it was never meant to come true," she walked out the school & I never saw her again.
