Thiam - I'm Responsible For You

Chapter 6

"WHAT?" Liam shouts "what do you mean we're moving to London?"

"I mean that we are moving to London. All of us" Liam's mum says. "we are leaving in a week so you need to start packing your bags."

"I'm not going to London!" Liam exclaims "you can't make me go. All my friends are her and..." 'Theo's here' Liam thinks "and my school and lacrosse team are here. So I'm not going and you can't make me" his mother looks at him a bit sadly.

"Liam, you can make new friends and go to a new school in London" his step-father says and Liam starts to pout.

"well I can't find a new boyfriend in London!" Liam suddenly shout and both his parents look at him in surprise, they opened their mouths to say something but no words were coming out and they were just sitting there in shock "yes I'm gay" Liam answers their unspoken question a lot softer and looks down about to cry.

His parents see him start to sob and jump up off their chairs and walk over to Liam. "Liam, honey, it's okay. It doesn't bother us that you are gay, we were just a little surprised" Liam pulls away after a while, wiping the tears of his face.

"so I heard something about a boyfriend?' Liam's step-dad says. Liam starts to blush and then frowns. His parents notice, so his stepfather says "how about we make a deal. If we meet your boyfriend and we like him, we will let you stay in beacon hills"

"but if we don't like him, then you have to come to London with us" his mother says.

"okay fine. When do you wanna meet him?" Liam asks.

"how about today, for dinner?" Liam's stepfather asks.

"okay I was gonna go see him anyways so I will tell him." Liam says and then excuses himself from the table and walks up to his room so that he can change his clothes. He wears a button down shirt and a pair of jeans before leaving his house to go to Theo's apartment. As soon as Liam walks up to the apartment door, the door swings open and Liam runs up to Theo and kisses him.

"I missed you too, puppy" Theo says after he lets go of Liam. They walk into the apartment together and sit on the couch. "so what did your parents have to tell you?" Theo asks curiously.

"my mum got a promotion in her job and she needs to go to London for two years.so we are moving to London" Liam says and Theo frowns. "but I told my parents that I wouldn't be able to find another boyfriend in London, so we made a deal that if you meet them tonight for dinner and they like you then they will let me stay" Liam looks over at Theo and sees that he is frozen, then Liam realises that he just called Theo his boyfriend and froze himself. Theo looked at him and then crashed his lips into Liam's for a long passionate kiss.

"so if your parents like me then you get to stay. I guess you should be starting to say goodbye then" Theo jokes and Liam elbows him lightly.

"don't say that, they will love you" Liam says seriously.

"I hope so puppy, because I don't want you to leave to London" Theo says "so you came out to your parents. How did they take it?"

"they were really supportive" Liam says and smiles.

"that's good" Theo says "what should I wear for dinner tonight. I really need to impress your parents, puppy". They walk into Theo's bedroom and Theo tries on different button down shirts until he picks a dark blue one and wears black jeans. He goes into the bathroom and styles his hair. When he finishes and walks out, Liam's jaw drops and he freezes. "how do I look" Theo says.

"amazing!" Liam says excitedly and jumps on him and crashes their lips together in an intense kiss. When he pulls away Theo smirks.

"calm down puppy, you might ruin my hair" Theo says jokingly and kisses Liam one last time before releasing him and holding his hand. They walk to Theo's car and Theo drives to Liam's house. When they reach the house, Liam could smell the nervousness coming of Theo so he kisses him and holds his hand as they walk up to the door. Liam's parents open the door and look at Theo and smile.

"so, you're my son's boyfriend?" Liam's mother says and Theo smiles at her.

"yes mam" Theo says politely and Liam is about to crack at the sound of Theo saying 'yes mam'.

"what's so funny, Liam?" Liam's step father asks Liam, and Liam just smiles and shakes his head.

"nothing. Mum, dad this is Theo" Liam says. His parents move out of the way and let them in. they walk into the kitchen and sit around the dining table, Theo and Liam sit next to each other and Theo smells the anxiety coming of Liam, so he holds Liam's hand under the table and Liam smiles at him. Liam's parents see Liam smile at Theo and they turn to smile at each other.

"so Theo, how old are you?" Liam's stepfather asks.

"I'm eighteen" Theo says. Liam's parents look at each other and frown a little and Liam catches it.

"what's wrong with that. I'm seventeen" Liam says nearly getting angry.

"it's okay puppy, calm down" Theo whispers to Liam sensing his rising anger. Liam looks at Theo and smiles brightly. Liam's parents hear Theo call Liam puppy and almost laugh.

"do you live with your parents Theo?" Liam's stepfather asks and Theo tenses up and Liam squeezes his hand under the table.

"um... no I live in an apartment by myself" Theo says and once he sees the sour expressions on Liam's parents' faces he explains himself "my parents are dead and I don't have any other family members in beacon hills, so I used the inheritance I got and bought an apartment. I still have so much money so I put it in a savings account for when I get older"

"oh okay" Liam's mum says "I'm sorry for your lose"

"it's okay, it still hurts when I think about them but I am trying to live my life like they would have wanted" Theo says frowning a little. He looks at Liam and sees the look on his face so he smiles brightly at him. After about five minutes of talking Liam's mum brings out the food and they start to eat and talk. Liam's parents see how happy Theo makes Liam and they get happy to see their son happy. After they finish talking and they eat dessert, everyone goes into the living room and sit around the television. Theo and Liam stay at each other's sides.

"so Liam I think you should go and start to pack your bags" Liam's mother says and tears start to flow down Liam's face.
