Alex's POV

"Ethan...why?" I started to tear up. It's all his fault.

"I just...I don't know. You knew I've always liked you, since the moment we've met. Since the day I was your pool boy."

My voice began to crack, "but that gives you no reason to fuck up my life!"

"Look I didn't know it would turn into this big mess im sorry!!"

"Don't apologize to me Ethan! Apologize to your brother!"

Ethan's POV

Alex was so right. I don't know why I would apologize to her. If I hurt anyone most, it's Grayson.

I am still curious on one thing though.

"Well, Alex...have you ever had feelings for me?"

She hesitated for a moment.

"I mean in the past maybe I was slightly confused when we kissed, but now you are making me livid."

"ouchhhhh that one hurt."

"Go tell your brother before I do!!"

She's right, if Grayson hears from her before me, I'm screwed.

I grabbed my phone to call up Grayson.

Ethan:"Hey man where are you?"

Grayson: "I'm just getting gas why?"

Ethan: "can we talk? I have a confession to make. Please come to the hotel."

Grayson: "Tell me why the FUCK I should come there?!"

Ethan: "gray I'm you're brother, just trust me."

He hung up on me.

Before I could even blink he texted me.

Gray: this better be good.

Alex just finished a shower

I knocked on the bathroom door.

"Please come out, Grayson is coming."

I could hear her press her face against the other side of the door, "why?"

"I'm doing as you asked. I am going to tell him I did it."

She lifted her face, "I will come once he knows. In the meantime, I'll go down to the cafe and you can text me when."

A few minutes later I hear a knock at the door. Oh boy.

I open the door to his blank, stern face.

"What do you want ethan?"

"Come in, please."

We sat on the couch.

"Okay so the morning Alex woke up with a hickey, and she didn't know where she got it...um..."

"Yeah?"

"...well...I uh...I gave it to her and-"

he cut me off, "OF COURSE YOU-"

"No gray!! She didn't even know I did. I gave it to her while she was sleeping..."

He scuffed, "but why would you do that?"

I hesitated. I don't know how to answer him.

"I don't know Grayson, I mean you have her and I don't, I was filled with envy."

"How did she not wake up? You must suck at giving hickies compared to me."

"She took a Tylenol PM that night remember? Besides the point-"

Again, interrupting me, "-HELL YEAH BESIDES THE POINT! Why would you do that? We just made up after all that shit with Meredith, now this? What happened to being there for me? I'm your twin brother."

The guilt is growing on my chest, I can't believe what I did, I'm such a bad person.

"Grayson, please...please forgive me. I'm sorry. I know I did wrong. I am your brother. You deserve the best and Alex is perfect for you and I really shouldn't ruin that. I am sorry for causing such a big fight between you two, and for making her leave the apartment and-"

"-Eth. You're my twin brother. I will always accept your apology. I understand where you are coming from and thank you. Thank you for telling me the truth, and in sorry if I scared you by being forceful with her. As long as your promise not to touch her again, we will remain on good terms."

I put my hand out towards Grayson, "deal."

He shook my hand and looked over my shoulder, "so where is the princess?"

I grabbed my phone to text her.

Ethan: Grayson is up to date. Please come on up.

"She's on her way."

Grayson's POV

The doorknob of the hotel room turned and I turned in its direction to see Alex come through the door, she looks like an angel, but I broke her wings.

I ran towards her with my arms wide open pulling her into my grasp.

"I missed this feeling Alex. I'm so sorry. I can't believe I-"

She tried to strangle herself out.

"-please stop!! You're putting pressure on my bruises! It hurts!"

I can't believe it, I am the one who caused her all this pain.

I put my hands on either side of her face, "I am so sorry. Look what I've done. How could I..." I began to tear up, "Alex please, forgive me."

She let out a sigh but the looked deeply into my eyes, "Ethan knows I missed you and didn't want to let this go, mostly because I knew I didn't do anything. But the fact that you hurt me makes me feel a bit unstable."

"Will y-you, u-uh take me back?"
