Part 3 of crash!

I was taken back by what Amanda, I mean Miles said.
I didn't mind that they were nonbinary (happy now?) it's just that I've known Miles since I was like five and growing up I had always noticed they didn't fit into the 'girl' category.
I smiled weakly at them since I was still in some pain.
"That's awesome," I said scanning the room.
Miles looked at me and smiled.
"Hey YN, umm I kinda have to tell you something..."
"Yeah Miles?"
"...I have a girlfriend," they said slowly.
My heart dropped in the spot. The person I'd been in love with for so long was dating someone else.
"Really? Who?" I squeaked.
"Well we're not together yet..." They said playing with their thumbs.
I raised my eyebrow. "oh and who are you going to ask out?"
Miles sucked in a breath before looking at me dead in the eyes.
"You," they said.
My eyes widen, I couldn't believe it, my crush since I was five was asking me out.
"YN, will you be my girlfriend?"
I smile and nod, "yes of corse!"
Miles smiles and hugs me.
"I love you," they whisper.
"I love you too"
And with that Miles crawled into the hospital bed and snuggled with me.
