*Flashback*
Two years ago...
"Come back here or I'm going to go get you!" Our laughter filled the house with joy. Calum kept tickling me and pulling me to sit on his lap. All I wanted was a drink of water, but he wasn't having my excuse.
"3...2...1..." Footsteps are heard from down the hall and I knew he would be here in a matter of seconds. Slinging me over his shoulder, Calum takes off in a dead run leaving me to bang my ribs on his shoulders continuously. "Ow...ow...ow" Through bounces I am able to get out a few words.
"Sorry babe." My stomach fluttered at the nickname I so dearly loved.
The doorbell ringed so luckily he put me down before walking to answer the door. I can make out a few words, but not an entire sentence. "Danielle...tomorrow...i have a friend over." Friend? I am no friend. And why is a girl even coming to his house anyways? To answer my questions I walk over to the door to meet a girl.
"Who are you?" Try to stay polite Jamie...
"I'm Danielle, Calum's girlfriend. Who are you?" Girlfriend? Oh heck to the no.
"I'm Jamie. Calum's other girlfriend, it seems." The death stare was coming on and I couldn't hide my anger any longer.
"Calum care to explain?"
"I...uh...well you see..." He couldn't even finish a sentence, he was blushing, and his eyes were wandering anywhere but at his "girlfriends". I knew Calum better than he even knew himself and I knew he was lying about something. "okay well here we go. So were honest here, which I'm trying really hard to be, you both were um a um" He was biting his lip and looking in my direction thinking I would let him get away with this whole mess.
"Your what? Calum..." Danielle spoke up.
"yes I was cheating on both of you, but I have a pretty valid reason. You were both a dare and I was going to get money for however long I could stay with you. Danielle you and I were
together for seven months so i earned $70 off of you. Jamie you made me tons of money. Since i was with you for 2 1/2 years you made me $260. So I guess I'm done with you both." My heart has shattered. It can never be replaced and because of that I should have every right to slap him.
And I did.
Hard.
Rubbing his cheek, I continued. "Done with us? What are we some toy your done playing with? One that you get money for to date them? Your a jerk! Find some other girl's emotions to toy with." With that I left and had every intention not to come back or see his face ever again.
I hadn't seen Calum since then he tried texting me and calling me, but I didn't have the strength to talk to him. Now he says he wants me? After all he did to me? That's lies just like our whole relationship. I have pushed away any person that tried to come close to me. I can't trust anymore. I've lost my trust in everyone. Because of that brown-haired kid I had once thought I loved.
