The buzzer sounds loudly just as the volleyball slams onto the ground in the opposing teams court. Sevyn grins and jumps up and down victoriously with her team mates as the audience in the crowd cheers loudly. The Marian Parker Girls Volleyball team just won their first volleyball game of the season resulting in a big uproar of joy around the gym. They congratulate the losing team before running over to their couch and heading into the locker rooms. When the door to the locker room shuts the girls immidiately start babbling with excitement. Sevyn is so busy talking to Erin about the game that she barely notices Coach blowing her whistle. Slowly, the chatter winds down and they all focus on Coach.

"Congratulations on your first win girls," She says and the girls cheer again. "I'm so proud of how well you're all working together, especially with your new captain." Sevyn beams modestly as her team mates pat her back. Coach grins at her team, "Good work out there, I think this year we're gonna go all the way and bring home another trophy."

"You already know." A girl named Briana Watson says, undoing her pony tail and letting her long hair drop around her shoulders. The girls nods in agreement and Coach smiles. "Alright, its late yall need to get going. Good job ladies." She commends before turning and going into her office. Sevyn quickly grabs her gym back and sneakers from her locker and hurries out the locker room. She can't help but smile the whole time she walks down the hallway to the lobby. A few spectators and girls from the other team shake her hands and congratulate her as she makes her way through the pack towards the doors.

She was nervous all day about the first game of the season and the butterflies in her stomach were so strong that she felt as though she would throw up. But once the bleachers filled up with fans and the whistle blew, her eyes are focused on the air borne ball coming in her direction. As soon as she bounces it back to the other side, the nervousness melted away and a new energy took over her body. She gave todays game her all and it was worth the exaustion in the end.

Her smile grows wider when she spots Jackson standing near the door talking to some his friends. He smiles when she comes over to him and pulls her into his arms. "Congratulations on your first win shorty."

"Thanks," She says bouncing on her toes, finding it hard to stay still from her happiness.

"I'll see yall tomorrow," Jackson daps his friends before putting his arm around Sevyn's neck and guiding her outside. The air feels cool against Sevyn's sweaty back and forehead, she just hope she doesnt stink from running around that hot gym all night. Jackson doesnt seem to mind though as he keeps her close. "You were on your grind out there huh, you didnt even look in my direction once."

"Cuz you would distract me and throw me off my game." Sevyn replies and he flashes her a smile that agrees with what she said. "The other school was garbage anyway, I actually would have been surprised if we had lost."

Jackson snorts in amusement, "Me too. Their basketball team isn't that great either cuz their players are weak. If you had lost I would have laughed at you."

"Gee thanks," Sevyn says sarcastically, pulling away from him to move to the passenger side of the car.

"Any time sweetheart," He replies, playfully slapping her butt. She laughs, knowing she should have changed out her spandex shorts before coming out here. They climb into the car and Jackson turns up the radio, "You coming over today?"

Sevyn glances at the time above the radio that reads 7:30. "Nah my mom would flip if I stayed out this late on a weeknight. Maybe I can come over after school on thursday since I have another game on wednesday."

"iight, you getting food before I take you home?" He asks pulling out the parking lot and taking off down the street.

"Burger King!" Sevyn exclaims like a little kid.
