“I don't understand why I can't travel alone, dad. I'm twenty four years old.” Devyn muttered as she pulled her luggage after her. Her phone was tucked in between her ear and her shoulder.

“You know how you get when you don't get enough sleep, Dev. Trust me, it'll be easier to travel with someone else, so you can have someone else to drive.” Her dad said.

Devyn sighed, loudly, “I swear, dad, if I have to get in the same car with some stupid, egotistical wrestler, I will probably jump out of the moving car.”

“Don't be so damn dramatic, Dev.”

She rolled her eyes, “You know that I'm only traveling with all of you is for experience in business, not to be hanging out with a bunch of wrestlers.”

“It's only for the week, I'll be back on the road with you next week.”

“You're lucky that gramps is going to be with me.”

“You'll be fine, Dev.” He sighed, “I love you, Dev, I'll talk to you tomorrow.”

She rolled her eyes, “Love you too, Paul.”

“Hey-”

“Kidding, love you too, dad.”

She ended the call with a small sigh as she reached the parking lot. She had seen the license plate number on the board before she had come to the parking lot to search for the car. She hated that her dad wouldn't let her travel alone.

“Hey, Devy, leaving so soon already!” She rolled her eyes.

“Fuck off, Ziggler!” Devyn called back as her heels continued to click against the ground.

Her eyes suddenly found a black truck parked towards the parking lot exit, that had the licence plate number that she was looking for.

“Oh don't tell me that I got daddy's little princess as my travel partner.”

Devyn looked up to meet the blue eyes of Randy Orton. Her dad had been friends with Randy for years, but Devyn had always hated him. He had something about him that always seemed to piss her off and it wasn't just because he was just as egotistical as every other wrestler on the roster.

“Wait until my dad hears that one, Orton.”

“I think your dad knows it's true, princess.”

“You know I hate when you call me that.” Devyn rolled her eyes, “I couldn't have gotten stuck with someone worse.”

Devyn pushed past him as she picked up her suitcase. She slid the suitcase into the truck's bed.

“Worse? Oh, trust me, princess, I'm the best one here.”

Devyn chose not to argue back, knowing that he would never shut up. Despite being twelve years older than her, Randy could act like such a child.

“Can you shut up?” She asked, making her way over to the passenger side, “The faster we get to the next town, the faster I'll get away from you.”

“Whatever you want, princess.” Randy did a mock bow, knowing it would piss her off.

Devyn pursed her lips as she glared at him, “This ‘princess’ will kick your ass if you don't stop.”

Randy chuckled as he walked over to the driver’s side, “I would love to see you try, princess.”

Devyn got in the truck with a sigh. She was going to have a word with her dad as soon as she saw him. Her dad trusted Randy with his life, but she just happened to get annoyed by every little thing he did.

Devyn pulled out her phone, ready to send a text to her dad.

Devyn: hate you so much, Paul, just wait until I get my hands on you

Paul: is that a threat, Dev?

Devyn rolled her eyes as Randy got into the truck just as her dad decided to call her.

“Yes, father?” Devyn answered.

“Pass the phone to Randy.”

“It's for you, asshole.”

Randy took the phone from her hand, “Ouch, princess.”

“Yes, Paul?” Randy answered, not looking away from Devyn.

“Can you not be such a dick to Dev? You know how dramatic she can be.” Paul said, slightly rolling his eyes.

“We both know that's more than true.” Randy muttered. Devin rolled her eyes. She could clearly hear her dad’s voice coming from the phone.

“I wouldn't have to be so damn dramatic if you would just let me work in headquarters.” She said, loud enough for her dad to hear.

“I don't understand why she had such a dislike for the company when she grew up in it.” Paul said, quietly. He was clearly hoping that he was quiet enough for Devyn not to hear.

“It might have to do with the ‘stupid, egotistical’ wrestlers.” Randy mocked with a small eye roll.

“And you're the perfect example.” Devyn muttered, grabbing her phone from him. She brought to her ear, immediately, “Dad, we haven't even pulled out of the fucking parking garage. I'm already close to choking him out.”

“Don't do that, Dev, you know I'd be liable for that shit.”

“It's your fault for putting me in the same car with-”

“-a stupid, egotistical wrestler. Got it.” He said, finishing off her sentence, “Just please don't kill each other."

She looked over at Randy, who was grinning, “I don't make promises I can't keep.”

A small chapter so you guys can get to see how these two interact with you each other. I will say this from the beginning, Devyn is quite the character 🙄
