Chapter 2

A/N: I'll try not to have author notes in the beginning of each chapter! But, these are the first two chapters posted. Please comment if you'd like daily chapters. Maybe two a day?

Chapter 2

Eleven sat up on her tiny cot in the bare room. The room was all white with a large two sided mirror and a little artwork the she had drew with the crayons she was given. A small tiger plush that Papa gave her after she showed signs of powers for the first time. She was only two years old at the time. Eleven was convinced the tiger was her only friend.

    The bedroom door banged open. She could tell that Papa was not pleased at all. What did she do? She couldn't remember.

“Do you understand what you did!? How many potential clients and supporters we lost?! Do you silly girl? Acting out in such and manner. I raised you better.”

Papas tone shot electricity up Eleven's back. He was livid and shouting at the 10 year old. The only thing that went through her head was, will Papa still love me after what I've done?

The child had no idea what she did. One thing she did know was she craved for the love and affection from the only parental figure in her life. She hated herself for making her papa so angry. Why couldn't she be more obedient?

Papa, also known as Dr Brenner, sat at the edge of Eleven's bed. He clasped the frail hands in his, “you need to prove your loyal. Many people think you're a dangerous weapon. Many want to end this research. Do you know what that means?”

“No, papa”, shaking her head fast to show she had now idea. She stared at her papa’s menacing blue eyes.

“It means it will lead to your termination. You don't want to leave Papa. Who would want a skinny, bald, dangerous, and hideous girl among them? They'd have no choice but to put a bullet to your head. Only I want you. No body else.”

With that, Dr. Brenner left the room. The sound of sobbing shook out of the innocent 10 year old. In her mind, he was completely right.

She was a monster.
She was hideous.
She was dangerous...
