Chapter 15:

The doctor walked into the room where Eleven laid and instantly the child closed her eyes. She knew she couldn't escape if she wasn't left alone. Her eyes stayed closed until she heard the doctor leave again.

The young girl sat up and winced. She didn't realize that she would be in pain. Maybe this is what the doctor meant by broken ribs. Although she didn't quite understand what the word broken meant or the word ribs was. From what she father's now, it's something horrible.

This pain made Eleven think about her plan. She didn't think she would feel pain. This threw her whole plan off, but she knew she couldn't waste time,  the seconds were ticking away.

The ten year old knew one thing, she wouldn't be able to just waltz out the front door, that's for sure. She began to look around the room. Her brown eyes circled in on a small grate. Big enough for her small frame to fit through.

Although Eleven didn't know where it would lead and she knew she could get lost, but she knew it was her only choice. This was her chance.

Slowly she slid of the hard hospital bed and winced as she walked to the grates. As she approached them she noticed that they were locked. Eleven felt like she lost, but then Papa's words echoed through her head.

“Terminated. Tomorrow.”

She knew she didn't want the same date as her “sister”. Eleven focused on the bolts and she imagined the bolts disappearing and bending. This worked as suddenly the bolts were stripped and the grate flipped open with a loud bang.

Startled she knew she had a short period of time before they were all aware of the loud noise and search for its source. Eleven began her journey as she entered the air vent.

The vent was dark and the echos made her jump. She wanted to be afraid and just give up but she knew he fate that would come if she did give up. Eleven kept crawling because giving up was just not the way she wanted to go. Loud sounds amplified in the vent as she came across bright opening. She knew it was her exit.

Crawling out the exit, Eleven looked around. A field of soft green substance which she did know at the time was called grass tickled her feet. She made her way across the field coming up to the sharp brown knives that she didn't know was branches.

The forest swarmed around her as she walked fast she wanted to get as far as she could. Living in the facility her whole life made everything harder for her. She didn't know where she was, how far a town was, and if anyone was friendly. Papa always told her that they were all evil people and will try to hurt her.  Suddenly this made Eleven change her mind, but she knew it was too late.

A noise in the distance and a loud singing voice of a male. Curiously, Eleven peak behind the tree. The bark ripping her gown scraping her skin, but she did not dare make a noise. She didn't know if this creature was friendly.

“Alright, Alright, boys food is coming right up?”

The man yelled into the stone built building. Eleven saw her chance and approached cautiously. She opened up the metal door that she watched the tall and bald man disappear too. The aroma outside the building made her stomach toss and turn. Not thinking she let her stomach control her brain.

Just, when she thought it couldn't get any better there was a plate of food she never seen before just out in the open. The food looked like it was there just for her. Without a care in the world the frail girl shoved the new food into her mouth. Not even giving herself time to breathe. It was so good!

“Hey!”

The bald man stormed towards her and she went to take off. But, she was too late. She immediately met her doom. Eleven was done for.
