Apologies and Makeovers

Haiii everyone! Here's the chapter of the week. I'm tired and in a desperate need of a Nutella jar, but not even Nutella can stop me from torturing people's eyes with this story!

As mentioned in the last chapter, this is my own version of the story Sonic: a pirate's life of Anonimoustaco!

But the story will change in the course of the development. But I just want to point out that this chapter is very (and pretty much the same) inspired by that story (that I reeeeally love, so plz update soon!)

Amy's POV

I ran away as fast as I could, feeling how my whole body was on fire. What's wrong with me?! I've never been this vulnerable before, and absolutely never have I been this confused.

What the what happened in there?! I have no idea why I wanted to kill that fox so badly, when she was just flirting with a man. But why did I care that it was just THAT man? Why did it bother me to see Sonic so fond of that fox? I don't know, and I honestly don't dare to think about it any further.

I hear my name in the distance, the captain must be searching for me...for some messed up reason. I hide in a corner, when two strong hands grasp my waist and lifts me up. I try to get away, but it's almost impossible.

-Please let me go.- I end up saying. I'm really not in the mood handle this, and he holds me tighter.

-Oh no. You let that pirate have some business, now it's my turn.- This guy is drunk, obviously, and I feel very hurt when he says that. Making me feel dirty and used, like my dignity that was one of the few things I had left just disappeared. I start to feel how some tears starts stinging my eyes, when I feel the change of gravity, and land on the floor. Whatever it was, I crawl up to the closest wall and stay there.

-The difference, is that she's mine you moron. So don't you dare to come close or even look at her. Understood?- I look up to find Sonic standing there. This can't get any worse, can it? He looks over at me, and I start to shake. What he did back there...it was too much.

-Stay away...please just leave me alone.- I say, trying to sound convincing about being angry, but not even I could convince myself. He ends up sitting in front of me, with a fair distance.

-I'm...very sorry Amy. I went too far. Joking like that was bad, and I know it.- I look right at him, feeling how something inside me burst. Was all that a sick joke? All emotions I felt, all the confusion and bubbly thing welding up in me was because of a joke?!

I feel how tears weld up blurring my sight. I'm pathetic, and he might be seeing it too. He lifts one hand, and I want to feel a blow, pain and fire wielding up from my cheek to make me remember that this was wrong. What happened in the restaurant was wrong. But I just feel his hand on my cheek, warm and strong, wiping my tears. I open my eyes, to find concern and worry in his eyes. He really is sorry, and he really thought of it as a fun joke...I look down in embarrassment. This is ridiculous.

-I...I'm sorry too. I didn't trust that waitress, and saw her as a threat to our survival here. My deepest apologies captain.- I rarely respect his title, and I see something in his eyes darken, but it was so faint that I think I must've imagined it. He lends me a hand to stand up, and so we do.
