A One Time Thing

Chapter 13: After Party

After the wedding our family and friends all migrated outside where becca and faith set up a tent like area. There were sparkling lights everywhere. It was beautiful and just what I wanted. There was music playing. The tables were even beautiful. The waitresses were my dad's police buddies. I laughed because they were still in their police uniforms. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

This felt as if I were dreaming. Keith was standing next to me staring at me while I was admiring the lights.
"Wow this is beautiful!" I said. Keith was still looking at me, "I know." He said.

Faith and becca ran to me when they saw me. "So what do you think! " Faith said.
"It's amazing! Thank you so much." I grabbed them and hugged them.

Keith and Skylar were on the dance floor showing off. Darrel was with becca somewhere in the crowd of people. Faith and I were sitting at a table. "No one has even said a thing to me. No one in my family. My dad won't even look at me." I said.
Faith looked at me, "Well we haven't done toasts yet." She said.
"Yeah because no one wants to say anything." I said aggravated.

Faith got up. I watched as she walked towards the dance floor. She turned down the music. Everybody looked at her. She picked up the mic laying on the ground.

"Listen up everybody! I don't know why all of you are such jerks. You haven't even went up to congratulate the bride. Especially you frank!" Everybody looked at my father and then looked back at me.
"She is so beautiful and doesn't even realize it. She was so scared to tell you the truth about everything. She lived all her life pleasing you and the one time she messes up, you turn away from her when she needs you the most! I know you are all disappointed but guess what she's not the only one to make mistakes." She paused. I couldnt stop myself from crying. I loved her so much.
She continued, "sammy I just want you to know you're not alone anymore, because, I'm pregnant too."

The crowd gasped. I could hear people whispering. Faith dropped the mic. I could hear Skylar yelling, "I love you baby!"
I walked towards faith. That's why she was looking so down here lately. I was so happy to know that I'm not the only one!

I ran up to faith and hugged her. "Why didn't you tell me sooner!" I said.
"I just didn't know how. Then you told me about the wedding and I just didn't know." She said.
"We are gonna have babies together faith! I'm so excited! They're gonna be best friends just like us!" I said in excitement.
Faith was crying like she was in pain. I was so happy I was jumping up and down.

When we were done with the after party. Keith and I left with faith and Skylar. We were all laughing and talking about what just happened. I wondered what we were gonna do for our honeymoon. We didn't have much money. No one would help us because they didn't agree with my life.

Keith closed my eyes, "okay babe get ready for your surprise." He said.
Faith hugged me, "bye I love you sammy!" She said as Skylar tugged her away. Keith and I stepped out of the car. He was guiding me, "okay walk up the steps."
"Keith let me see already!" I said as he let go so I could see.
It was a house.
