Chapter Ten

One year later
Alex

In my arms I held my small child Skylar. She's only three months old and looks so much like me and my Ex.
"I'm so sorry you won't have a father for a long while..." Skylar just laughed and didn't understand a word that was coming out of my mouth. "You'll be ok though Skylar, I'll be here." Skylar giggled and played with my hair. My phone went off so I used one of my hands to pick it up without checking the caller ID.
    "Hey Alex."
    "Dark? It's been a while hasn't it?"
     "Yes it has but I was wondering if I could come over and hang out?"
    "Sure if you want to help me with Skylar."
    "Who's Skylar?"
    "My and----....My daughter."
    "Ok sure," he laughed into the phone, "I'll be over in a few."
     "Ok see ya Dark." I put my phone back down and kissed Skylar's forehead. There was a knock at the door and I walked over and opened it. It took me a few minutes to register who was at my door then I slammed the door shut and slid down it, holding Skylar close and protectively to my chest.
"Go away...." I pleaded my voice almost gone.
