*ring
That was the sound of the school bell.
A crowd of teenagers relinquished the school and stood by the tattered gates laughing at the fact that I spend one hour each morning fixing my hair and organising my teddies. Must be fake rumours.
I dragged my feet across the graveled path, kicking an empty can of coke towards the crowd and accidentally hitting them. Feeling troubled, I began to run.
A few of them chased me until I was cornered to a graffitied wall.
"Is there anything you want to say before we destroy you?" Called a voiceI stood paralysed as they began to tower over me.
I shut my eyes and after a few minutes, I began to feel shadows passing over me and the invigorating breeze brushing against my hair. Then there was silence.
Hesitantly I opened one eye and felt an almost irresistible desire to have seen and known how everyone suddenly disappeared. I wondered if these were the rare acts of magic and my extensive sense of curiosity began to overload.
Feeling strangely subdued, I limped back to the Estragination camp, the place I was intimidated into calling home.
