I heard two people talking, then footsteps.
'Clipity clop'
That sounded familiar.
I felt a pang of guilt that stung my heart as the darkness devours me.
I glanced at Jeremy, he was clueless, innocently bouncing up at down to his music. I couldn't be rescued.I watched the door slowly unlock, there stood Alex leering at his triumph of finding me. I rarely get glimpses of his face and this was it. His ugly thoughts were expressed through his eyes however few could see that. Many who didn't know him would say he was a decent, strong, intelligent boy. He was strong, but certainly not decent or intelligent.
"Ethan will kill you," he smirked.
He seized my neck and hauled me across the room. I held the pain. Excruciatingly, I attempted a punch. He stood firmly on the ground and barely blinked.
"You're nothing. Get back to the camp. Don't make me do it for you," he breathed in a calm but manipulating way.
I knew I was too weak to argue with him. Taking a quick glance at Jeremy who was cowering behind a pillow, I walked out of the room.
I heard two voices behind me as I walked.
"She doesn't know what she's doing so stay away from her. I'll deal with you later."
"But..."
"You do what I say. I say what I like."
"No."
Then I heard thumping and screams. The voices fade.
Alex was right, I was nothing and Ethan will kill me.
