"You look familiar. I don't believe we've met before, do come in." Said Lydia plastering on a fake smile

I, bewildered by Lydias' reaction to my sudden appearance, nervously entered her house.
"Does she not remember me?"
I stared at the millions of sparkles on the walls and the dazzling chandeliers hanging above my head, I remembered this place.

Lydia and I used to stay up at night sharing  secrets and planning missions to set each other up with our crush. I would wake up every morning soaked in cold water and seeing Nick dangling from the top bunk with an empty cup. Crystal would have odd fights with me over who had the last chocolate from the box. I became lost in my thoughts.

"Hello? HELLO?!" Snapped a voice

I, petrified of being in an immensely spacious hall with my ex best friend who didn't remember me, came back to reality. I could already sense that this would be a long morning.

"So this is my boyfriend Pierre." Lydia stated.
Pierre was my ex crush, I was almost Lydia did this on purpose to make me jealous.
I looked at the direction Lydia gestured towards and noticed a shirtless guy relaxing on the sofa eating a bucket of marshmallows. He gave me a half-hearted smile and offered me a marshmallow that was "only two days out of date."
I politely declined his offer.
"What's your name?" Lydia interrupted
"I'm...J." said I who was once a girl of complete integrity.
"Jane."
"You don't sound too sure. Why don't I go and grab us some wine and we can have a long conversation about who you really are?" Lydia laughed suspiciously as she departed the hall.
I found that comment extremely manipulating.
Panicking, I used my spare time to slip out, and dragged my soaked feet all the way back home.
