A/N: I know I LOVE to talk about my other books, but I know a great book by @Varela_22. It's called, "In Between." It might need some grammar checks and more punctuation, but the storyline and the plot is great.

Sophie's POV
Something had happened to Hars. Something bad. He stopped laughing, stopped looking at her, stopped being friends with anybody. Everyone except Keefe. He had changed Keefe too. Keefe no longer frolicked with them, hanging out with Fitz, or endlessly teasing Sophie.
Sophie missed him terribly, but the ripping hole was filled with busy activity, classes in the Silver Tower and everything.
But nothing prepared her for what was going to happen next.
Hars' POV:
A raspy voice flickered in his ear, whispering like a snake. "Have you gotten the girl yet?" asked the voice.
Hars cringed. The man that (SPOILER ALERT ⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠) the Neverseen had recruited was the bossiest person he had ever met. Why did he have to be the one checking Hars' progress?
"I'm almost there," he promised, crossing his fingers that no snappy retort would be thrown back.
"Almost?!" roared the man. "Last time you told me that you were almost there! WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO GET HER? IF WE LOSE HER TO THOSE NITWITS, OUR FATE WILL BE CRUSHED. OUR FUTURE! And we'll kill your family if you don't cooperate."
Hars sneered and silently mimicked him, almost snarling.
"I'm telling you, Hars Larnik, get that girl, or face the consequences."
Hars sighed.
This was going to be hard.
