I haven’t seen Harry since yesterday afternoon. He didn’t even come back to the room to sleep. God knows where he has been. I think he was upset over Sarah or something.

It was around four in the afternoon and I have been sitting in the common room all day reading a book that Mrs. Danvers let me borrow from the library. The time has passed by and I was enjoying the time to myself. I have been keeping my mind busy and distracting myself from the thought that I will never see my sister again. Yes, my sister. I do not miss my mother. She completely betrayed me.

She, of all people should have known she wouldn't get a lick of information. Dahmer wasn't the kind of person to deliver.

As I continued to read my book, Mrs. Danvers entered. “Harry would like to see you. He said you two will be going on a walk.” I looked up at her. She was wearing gray today. It made her look... Nicer. Her hair was flowing down today instead of up in that stupid bun she always thought was "pretty".

I nodded and put the book down on the table. I stood and Mrs. Danvers looked straight at me. Her black eyes were soulless.

I quickly walked into the bedroom and put on a sweater. I went back into the common room and followed Mrs. Danvers into the hallway. We walked in silence for a few minutes until she finally spoke up.

“So how have you and Harry been getting along?” she asked as we walked the halls. Our shoes clicked against the marble floors.

I had no idea how to reply. “Um…he is very nice,” I said. I didn't want to mention that I was being used for sex. Sex that I hadn't agreed to. Harry was nice and all but I didn't want to give myself to him. I barely knew him.

“Is he?” Her tone wasn't really a question.

I nodded in response. My mind kept waving a flag around as if to say to stop talking.

We continued to walk and we finally went down the large marble stairs. She led me to the main foyer to meet Harry standing there. He was wearing jeans and a red button downshift. His hair was tousled around messily. His green eyes sparkled.

“Hi Lena,” he greeted in his thick raspy voice. Damn, that voice.

I gave a weak smile in return.

“You two don’t go out for too long, okay?” Mrs. Danvers said. She acted like him like she was his mom.

“Don’t worry,” Harry assured her. He smiled kindly at her and she walked away.

He turned to face me and asked, “Ready?” His hands were in his pockets. I felt really weird all of a sudden.

I nodded and followed behind him down a long hallway. Walking behind Harry, I took the time to look at his features from the back. His long muscular yet slender body moved in such a beautiful way with each curve of him flexing in every move he made. With each step he took, I noticed more and more how attractive his body was.

He quietly led me through the hall and we finally reached a door. Without saying a word, he held the door open for me and I stepped outside. My first time outside in days.

It was a slightly sunny day, but still very chilly considering it is winter. The wind blew sending chills down my spine. The smell of salt water filled the air, and the sound of waves crashing surrounded us. From what it looked like, we were on a small cliff. We weren’t up that high, but it was still a little scary.

We walked in silence right next to each other, as our shoulders occasionally brushed. Everything was so... Normal again. I was outside walking freely instead of hiding in my house. I was with a boy instead of Maisy. It felt as if the country hasn't changed much.
