KELLY'S POV

I stared at him with my mouth wide open.

"What do you mean you don't know?" I asked.

"Well here is the thing," he started, till I interrupted him with a Shh.

"Listen, am I going with you on this journey or not?" I asked, hoping for a yes.

"Umm, sure I guess." he said with a bored look on his face. This was going to be a long long journey. I sighed and looked at my watch, there was ten minutes left of lunch. Sure enough they had already guessed that I ran away. It's better if I go home and pack now.

"Listen, I had school today, the teacher told me to go to the office, instead I ran away. It's been a long time, and sure enough, they have already guessed that I ran away. I know you want me on this journey whether you admit it or not, who else would believe you are a vampire? So let's go home, distract my step-mother till I pack a bag, then we leave. Understand?"

He nodded and looked at me curiously. "Why would your run away, won't that get you into even more trouble?"

I sighed and looked at him. "I will tell you the details later, we have to make a plan."

Ten minutes later, the vampire was standing at the front of my house while I stood at the back, looking at the window that faced my room. I picked a couple of stones and threw one if them at the window, which caused it to break.

"What the hell is going on?!" my step-mother yelled out, loud enough for the neighbors to hear. I went over to the side of the house and waited for her to open the window. When she did, I threw one of the stones in the vampire's direction. He rang the doorbell immediately and kept ringing without stopping. My step-mother sighed and walked over towards the door.

Yes, the first part of the plan was working.

I climbed to my window using the ladder that she keeps at the back. I entered my room, grabbed the biggest bag I have, and started stuffing things in it.

One good thing about having a rich dad is that I have a special card which he inserts money into every month using a machine automatically. Even if my dad is looking for me, I know he won't stop givin me money since he knows I might die. Not to mention that the cards will keep your identity private and won't give your location away.

I stuffed five different pairs of underwear in there. A sweater, a hoodie, two extra pairs of jeans, three extra shirts, an extra pair of running shoes, a map of the U.S. and a map of Florida. I also put my sketching book and pens in there, my iPod and charger, a water bottle, and a bag of Doritos. That's all I need, and if I need anything, I can just buy whatever I want.

I climbed down, threw a stone in the vampire's direction. Few seconds later, I was joined by him and we started running towards the forest.

GABRIEL'S POV

No wonder she ran away! That step-mother of hers is sure a pain in the ass! It kinda reminded me of Cindrella and her evil step-mother till she met the prince.

Her prince, ha! Like that would ever happen. Her prince, I would just love to imagine me falling in love with someone.

I sighed and started looking at the girl that was running with me. I would love to prank her right now and show her my awesome vampire running skills. Except that I know she would never catch up to me and will just leave for home.

Home? I doubt she calls that shit she faces everyday home.

I decided to run fast but not my fastest so then there won't be a large space between us.
