"You sure you ready for this?" I asked him. Today was the day Algee was meeting my family. They've heard of him, but never actually met him face to face. "Yea I'm cool, maybe a lil nervous tho," he admitted. "They're gonna love you." I said and held his hand.

After a short drive, we arrived at the park. "Damn, you got a lot of family," he said and pulled into the parking lot. "Omg Y/N/N (your nickname) I haven't seen you since you was this tall!" An older man said, walking over to us. "Heyyy...." I said awkwardly. "You don't member be do ya?" He asked. "No sir" I admitted and laughed.

"I'm ya uncle," he said as we hugged. "Nice to meet you too son," he said and shook Algee's hand.
After greeting him, we walked over to the pavilion where everybody was. "Hey TT!" I said and hugged my aunt. "Omg! That's that boy, he's even finer in person, come here baby," she said and held her arms open for Algee.

"Nice to meet you," he said and laughed.
"Aye y'all, this that Ralph boy from the New Edition Movie," she said to everybody. "Hey baby," my granny said waking over to us. "Hey granny," I said as we hugged. "And this is Alger?" She asked.
"Algee granny." I corrected her and giggled.
"Well Algee, welcome to the family," she exaggerated.

It was more of a meet & greet than a family reunion.
When everybody got to meet him, he just sat and talked with my uncles, and male cousins.
"So how'd you pull that? With his sexy ass" my cousin asked. I rolled my eyes. "I'm sorry girl. But damn. He played the shit out that role." She added. I looked over at him and saw that he was looking at me and smiling. I guess they're talking about me. I smiled and waved. "So how long have y'all been together?" My other cousin asked.

Algee's POV
"She always been that way," Y/N's uncle said. I couldn't keep my eyes off her as she talked to her family. "You been up in it yet?" Her cousin asked. "You wylinn," I said and laughed. Her family is funny. "Shut up boy," her uncle said. "But why you with her? It gotta be somethin," he said.
"I love her," I said and looked back over at her. She finally saw me looking and smiled at me.

" I like you boy. You alright," he said and drank from his beer. Y/N walked over to me. "You hungry?" She asked. I nodded. She walked over to the table with the food and fixed me a plate. "And you got the girl fixing your food," a woman said walking over to us. "That girl love you!" She added. It was nice to hear her family tell me all the stories and stuff.

I overheard some women talking about her.
"That poor girl. She must've gave it up on the first date to get him," they said. "Damn. If he had any sense he'd re-evaluate which family member he falling for," another said. It's always them low key hatin mfs in the family. That only made me appreciate Y/N more. That girl is my world.

She came back with the plate and a pop. "What y'all talking about?" She asked. I shook my head. "Alright y'all, let's leave them alone," her uncle said. They all left. "You ok?" She asked. I nodded. "Your family is cool. They not all crazy and on some other shit." I answered. I grabbed the fork and picked up a candied yam. I put the fork up to her mouth and she ate the food.

Your POV
It was weird as hell. Everybody just watching us. I understand he's "famous", but they were down our throats. Like damn can we have some space.
I watched my lil cousins play. My favorite little cousin slowly walked over to us. "Awwwn she's so cute," Algee said and picked her up, sitting her on his lap. "What's your name?" He asked. She smiled and pointed to him. "Ralph," she said.

"His name is Algee," I laughed and corrected her.
"Ageee," she said in her cute little baby voice.
"I'm so sorry, I'll take her," her mother said, reaching for her. "It's all good," Algee said and let her go. "Y/N/N!" My granny called. I looked in her direction. "I'll be back," I said and walked over to her.

"Can you ask Algee to sing for us. One of the songs from New Edition?" She asked. "Algee!" I yelled and motioned him over. He walked over to us. "Can you sing for us?" My granny asked him.
"Of course!" He said. "Ok everybody, he's gonna sing." She yelled. All of my family sat down prepared. My Aunt handed him a mic.
"Any requests?" He asked into the mic.

"Sing Can You Stand The Rain," someone yelled.
Algee cleared his throat. "Alright."
"Cause I need somebodyyyy, who will stand by meeeeeeee. Through the good times and baaad times she will always. Always be right there. Sunny days, everybody loves them. Tell me baby can you stand the rainnnn. Storms will come. This we know for sure. can you stand the rainnnn." He sang.

"Ooooweeeee," somebody said.
He stared into my eyes as he sang. "That child can sangggg,". My granny said. Once he was done everybody clapped. They got used to him after a while and started treating him like a regular person.
I yawned. "You sleepy?" He asked. I nodded and leaned on his shoulder. "Aight, gimme a second," he said and got up. I stood up from the bench and said my goodbyes to everybody.

" Nice meeting you" he said before we walked back to the car. "Did you have fun?" I asked. My family could be a trip sometimes. "Yea," he said and opened my door. I sat in the passenger's seat. "Awwwn my baby sleepy huh," he said and backed out of the spot.

I felt my clothes being stripped off. I opened my eyes and saw that I was in bed. "What's hannin," he said and pulled my pants down. I heard the shower running in the bathroom. "Come on" he said and pulled me up. I followed him into the bathroom. I'm so sleepy. After our shower. I was out like a light switch.
