Chapter 1

                                                            Chapter 1

Have you ever thought what happens to your loved ones when they die? Well I can tell you the truth. Well... Maybe not me, but my Uncle Hades and Aunt Persephone can or they might tell you. They didn't tell me until, I met Nathaniel Goode. I met Nathaniel in my home, the Underworld. Where I live with my aunt and uncle. So, here the day I meet him and until now...

"ELEANOR-LYNN LEEANN YOAKUM! GET DOWN HERE NOW!" Yelled Aunt Persephone. ( By the way, I changed my name to fit in with the modern times my name was the same as my mother's, Eleftheria.)

"Coming!" I yelled down from my room, as I turned off Queen "Another one bites the Dust", I felt like that song was a good fit down here. When I came down the stairs she had her hands on her hips and did not look happy. And I mean really upset, like you better wish you could go back in time and fix your mistake, mad. (Only if I had the Doctor's TARDIS then I could just do that.) She is my loving aunt (most of the time). Lets just say I get this look a lot from my aunts and uncles up on Olympus. Yeah, all the Gods and Goddess are my fake aunts and uncles. Well, they are my aunt and uncles because, you know I have no living family and I am immortal.

Here, this is my family story or my life story. 2,499 years ago my father, Vangelis, stole from Zeus. He did it to save my mother and me. When I was one, Zeus made a lightning bolt, and had the bolt hit our house. Little did my parents or the Gods know that, the drink my dad gave my Mum, Eleftheria, turned me immortal well she was pregnant with me. So in the fire I did not die, unlike my mother, father, and two brothers, Puroeis and Pyrros. They were twins. After the fire died the towns people came and found me in my mothers burned arms. They bought me to the Gods temple, and thanked them for keeping me safe. Later that night Zeus sent his wife Hera and his brothers wife Persephone to come and retrieve me from my actual aunt and uncle's house. About a month later Zeus made the decision to keep me up on Olympus with him and Hera. When I was about 6, I got my powers. 3 weeks later, I almost burned down my Uncle Eros (Cupid) and Aunt Psyche's house. Then, 4 days later I flood Uncle Zeus's bathroom, the next day I made a vine, stone, and rain storm in my room, and ruined my favorite doll house. I was so upset I turned into water in my size and all. Zeus yelled at me so I got mad and bursted into flames. Then he called all the gods, and I mean the minor ones, too. He asked who could take care of me until I learn to control my powers, known as the Elements. Later, Hades showed up, (he's always later for family matters,) with Persephone. Then, Zeus asked them only in front of the twelve Olympians. Aunt Persephone loved me so much she begged Uncle Hades, in front of all twelve Olympians, if I could live with them. Hades was about to say no, when Aunt Hera told me why Uncle Zeus was late for bed time because he was with them. So I ran out of my room down the street to the thrown room, I ran up and gave Aunt Persephone a really big hug, and said hello to everyone else. He said yes, so then on I lived with them. 2,494 years with Hades sucks, but Persephone made me happy. Now in about five weeks I will be able to go and live in the mortal world. Only, because I still have trouble with my emotions and the Elements, so Uncle Zeus said I could not leave until I have control over that. Now, I have somewhat controlled it I can leave in five weeks-ish , so you know I'm here until then. 

"Didn't I tell you, Eleanor to feed Cerberus, an hour ago?"  Aunt Persephone scowled.

" Yeah, you did but as you can see I didn't do it." I laughed. I love to get under her skin.

"Please, tell me then why you didn't feed him?" About this time she would start to lecturing me about the importance of helping out, listening to my elders. I hear this from her all the time.

"Well, I didn't feed him because of, three things. One: We just got a new boat load in of dead people. I will not go there with them around. Two: I will not go under him to get his bowls. And three: I was just too lazy." I smirked. 

Here, comes the lecturing."You will not have the option, if you want to feed him or not. You said you rather take care of Cerberus, than do the field work your uncle does. Right?"

"Yeah, I said that but I don't mean it." 

" Go ahead and do nothing... No, you don't get to live here and do nothing. If you want to do nothing to help your uncle and I then you can have no music, art supplies, or training time. I'm done trying to get you to do, do these thing. You can stay in you room until you're 2,500 years old, and only come out for dinner. But, I'm done with your bad attitudes." She looked hurt to say that, little more think it.

"Okay, so you want me to help out more. Okay, I can you that." I didn't see what she meant, but whatever it was it would not come easily for her to say.

" You don't get do you? Ellie, I have been told by the others, who had watched you while I was with my mother, during the spring time. That you have grown more and more skilled with the Elements. And with that you have also grown in to something a normal teen would be. I thought we would never get to that point. But, I guess I could not ignore this point in your life for ever." Aunt Persephone looked as if she was about to cry. And gods forbid that from happening. Once she starts she can't stop, the crying will get bad.

"What does a normal teenager acted like?"

"They ignore their parents, aunts, uncles, or anyone older than them. Also, they don't do as they are told. Believe it or not I acted like this once" She laughed but, the laugh was not happy but, a sad laugh." My mother, Demeter, said I was a lot like you. But, she also said I was younger than you by about 700 years. So, you are not the only one that was a trouble maker. But she also said that I did not creat chaos up on Olympus, and I quit trying to do my own thing and started listeningtomy elders." There was the 'listening to your/my elders'.

"What chaos have I created?" I really want to know. Because the only time I leave the Underworld is for important meeting or family stuff. While, I'm never in the meetings, I show off to the wood nymphs and satyrs. They think I'm awesome and scary at the time. Only because I can control fire, the other than that they like they others.

"The explosion in the thrown room. Didn't you say you wanted to scare them during the family meeting?"

"Yes, but I was kidding. I knew if I did that someone could get hurt. Thats why I was joking about that."

"I guess I thought you were serious about just scaring them. I guess you need to tell Zeus it was not you so you can clear your name."

"Me? Why me? You were the one who told him that I wanted to scare them. Why can't you?"

She sighed. "Because it is not my name that needs to be cleared. So you may do that or you can be the main person of interest. I'm okay with that, are you, Ellie?"

" No. Can I send him an Iris-message tomorrow?" I really didn't want to talk with Uncle Zeus in person, it makes things scarier.

" Yes, but no later than noon and no earlier than 10. Thats gives you a two hour window."

"Got it, tomorrow no later than noon and no earlier than 10" I repeated what she said, so she knew I got what she meant.

I turned and started to my room when, she called to me.

"Ellie, you still need to feed Cerberus. You don't get off the hook, young one." 

Aunt Persephone smiled, an actual smile. I didn't see them a lot down here and when I did I couldn't help but smile back at her.
