Chapter 1: (doggvers.) The Burrows.

Chapter one (dogg version):The Burrows

Serppanus: a fusion of a Dog, snake, and bat.
Dogg: a shorter version to call a Serppanus.

The moon shone brightly as a large Serppanus walked on the old ruins of what used to be a great castle. The tall obsidian pillars threatening to crash down at any second, but the Serppanus paid no mind to the looming broken pillars and dug her claws into the cracked stone as she started to climb up it.
She couldnt fly to the top, her wings weren't capable of that. Her claws reached the sharp flat edge of the pillard and whined as she heaved herself up. The sharp glassy stone pressing itself against her soft furred belly as she plopped onto the pillars top and wrapped her claws around the edges to keep herself from sliding off.
As she regained control she sat up on the cold stone and looked out towards the moon. The moonlight reflected off her purple eyes as she threw her head back up in a howl, the long lasting sound echoing throughout the forest before her.

"Anguis." came a soft voice from the pillar in front of her.
The voice made Anguis jump in surprise and hissed loudly as she spread her wings out in a threatening manor before relaxing them against her sides as a familiar Serppanus climbed atop the pillar in front of her own. The Serppanus in front of her held the neck of a doe in her mouth. Red blood dripping down its neck and spilling onto the black pillars top.
"Desidia!" Anguis said as she recoiled at the sight of the former rouge in front of her. The reddish brown fur and the black and red scales down to the engraved rouge mark on her hind leg all screamed 'traitor!' in Anguis's head, but she ignored since surely thats not how you think of your friends and instead asked,-
"Why are you here?" Desidia snorted as she flung the dead does carcass at Anguis. It landed with a thump at her feet as almost immediately, Anguis shoved her face into the does belly, and began to tear into the still warm body. "Decided to follow you here, Nix is in one of the feeding rooms and I'm too lazy to go find her-so I brought you something instead. Freshly killed," Desidia mumbled as she turned toward the now brighter sky. Anguis licked her lips from the blood and raised her head up. "Its almost dawn, we should get going." Desidia faced away from the now brighter sky and brought her wings over her head as if a little dawns light would hurt her. "Perhaps it'd be the best...,but I do have something to talk about. Its abou-" Her sentence was cut off as she felt wingbeats and saw Anguis flying off towards the many openings of the burrows. Desidia sighed as she looked at the doe, now reduced to bones and spread her own wings wide. "There goes that.." she mumbled to herself as she took off towards the burrows as well. The cool air blowing past her wings as she landed on the nearest entrance she could find. She scrambled down it and into the darkness below ground level.
