Chapter 1: ~Running~

Run...

Just keep running and they'll leave.

Those were the only two thoughts that processed through the, small, boys heads. The men, who were like faded shadows in the distance chased them. Honestly, it was too long a story to tell...

But let's leave it as, they're existance was a crime- one that their mother took a chance with. So here they are now...

Running.

Running for their young, innocent, lives.

The two twin-like boys ran through the woods as much as their short legs could take them. They didn't know much at the time, they were only old enough to walk, but they listened to their head's warning- the warning to run for their lives.

As they did the men gained speed on them.

[Yes, men chasing two innocent toddlers, such a shame...isn't it?]

But then, two long black lines appeared before them. They crashed into them, they were recognized as legs, as two pale hands reached to them and they blacked out.

~His P.O.V~

The one with the lighter brown hair began to wake up. I had made them to black out- so they wouldn't see the gruesome scene so young.

The boy blinked, and rubbed his eye sleepily as his small hand gripped-to what seemed to be- his brother's hand. I don't know what exactly happened, but my senses suddenly brought me there and told me to help these young human creatures. Those hunters were there again...

Those damned hunters.

They brought these two warm, small, creatures harm...

How dare they

The one with a darker shade of hair began to,groggily ,wake up. The one with lighter hair was looking up at me, curiousily. His twin did the same, still laying down, holding the other's hand. They were truly adorable.

I guess I could raise them

As my own

As long as Splendor doesn't find out...

And make them... Similar to him.

The one sitting up titled its head to the side cautiously. As of making out my expression.

But of course

I had no expression

Sadly...I have no face.

The boy smiled at me. As if it had finally read my thoughts that I'd keep them. His twin did the same... A tiny smile appeared on his face, just a small one, not that noticeable at all.

How cute were they.

I picked them up silently and put them down in two chairs of the kitchen in my mansion. They squirmed from my touch as I sat them down but, they didn't struggle. I guessed they would be hungry so...I took some cheese crackers out for them to eat. Stubbornly, the one with lighter hair refused. While the shy one took a tiny bite and began to chew without hesitation. I took a random plate out the fridge and placed it before the boy again- this time a peanut butter jelly sandwhich. He took a bite, looked disgusted, and refused once more. Angrily, I took out some cheesecake I was saving for my proxy and put it out before the boy.

The boy tried it, his face brightened, and he began to eat the cake rapidly. I guess this means....No more cheesecake for me.

They kept eating for a while- though the shy one didn't even finish his small portion of crackers- and they snuggled into each other and fell asleep.

Dear Zalgo...what have I tooken in on now..?
