You were a mess, the key being 'were'. Past tense.
It had been about a two months since Peter had just up and dumped you, leaving you confused, upset, heartbroken and rather angry.
He didn't even have an explanation, but you were sure he had found a better love in Mary-Jane.

You were a mess for the first month, you lived up in your room at the Avengers tower, pros of being a Teen Avenger. Ice cereal had been your rock and tears were your common friends throughout sleepless nights. You had gotten out of missions, thanks to your assassins friends who told Fury a heartbroken girl was no girl to send on a battlefield unless he wanted the whole area destroyed of the Map.
Your phone was smashed, due to you snapping at Pietro who tried to offer you comfort. Later on you did apologise though.

You were getting yourself back on your feet though, you were feeling better and more refreshed. Steve had officially taken you under his wing, helping you spar and train. He was usually the one who decided what missions you went on but today was different.

A bigger problem had arisen and the whole Team was being called in for the mission. That means Stark had to call in him. Yep, Peter Parker.
The Team expected you to turn sour, to huff and puff. Instead, you just shrugged, patting Steve on the shoulder as a sign to show you were retreating to your room before the mission tomorrow.

Parker was due to arrive any moment along with Scott and T'challa. You should have really stayed to greet the other two men who you had befriended but you decided against it. You wanted to avoid strangling the boy who had managed to break your heart. Especially after beginning to heal.

So, kicking of your converse, you ran a hand through your crazed hair that you had yet to brush through for the day.

"Hey J? Drop me a tune would ya?" You grinned, and instantly a familiar song started that made you grin.

Coming onto a verse, you jumped onto the bar top, one leg crossed over as you sang along, looking over the whole Team and not even batting an eyelash.

You jumped down from the bar top, that goofy grin returning to your face as she gripped Wanda's hand and pulled her up, twirling her around in the process and emitting a giggle from her.

You gaze then singled onto the only other teen in the room who looked incredibly uncomfortable. You made a bold move, walking over and straddling his waist as you sang the bridge to him.

Standing down from his lap, you smirked at his face before dancing alongside the other once more.
