“Gabriel, what are we supposed to do? She has absolutely no idea what is going on and her outburst in school nearly uncovered everything I have been trying to cover up.” A voice in the distance stated.
“Her time is coming, which means the prophecy is as well. We have to train her and prepare her. The time has come.” Spoke a deeper voice that was filled with exhaustion.
“I do believe someone is eavesdropping on our conversation.” Spoke another voice and then I felt a soft touch on my hand, “Delly belly, wake up.”
Ziggy, my mind recognized and when I opened my eyes, deep green ones were staring back at me. I gave him a weak smile as he rubbed his face in my hand. The feeling was only expressing his care for me but if outsiders didn’t know the way we acted around each other, they wouldn’t understand. So when a throat cleared in the room, I blushed deeply and snatched my hand back.
“Zakhar, you may be excused.” The man said.
“Yes master.” Ziggy said, kissing my forehead before bowing and leaving quietly.
The man and I stared at each other, neither of us willing to give in. I took in this man’s appearance. The same man I saw before the blackness took me over. He looked so much like Jolie and I, but it couldn’t be, right? Our father couldn’t be a distinguished business man. Or maybe he was in a mob. That would be something my mother would get into. This man was a tall 6’2 with the same colored hair as me that was cut and disheveled. Before it has been neat and combed back and I wonder what happened for him to mess up his beautiful hair. His blue eyes matched my own and his sharp facial features were masculine to my feminine ones. This was so draining. I didn’t know what to think. Then it hit me, where was Jolie?
“Where is Jolie?” I asked.
The man looked uncomfortable as he took Ziggy’s evacuated seat. “She is with her mother. We have things to discuss.”
“What the hell do you mean she is with her mother?” I screamed and ran for the door. There was the man named Ronnie blocking my way.
“No can do, princess.”
“You have three seconds to get out of my way before I rip your arm off and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine.” I growled.
He leaned forward and I smelt cotton candy and soap. Since when did my sense of smell become so strong? I focused on his face as he smiled at me, flashing his pearly whites. “Try me, princess.” And he flicked my nose.
Did he seriously just flick my nose? There was that familiar flame spreading through my body as this tool started to laugh at me. In an instant my hand wrapped around his throat and slammed him into the door. “Don’t ever touch me again you worthless waste of space.”
He tried to fight me and get me to let go but I just gripped harder and slammed him again. Then his eyes became black and his teethe sharpened before she flipped me on my back and hissed in my face. I kicked him in the chest to get him off me and lowered down into a crouch watching him and he did the same. We sprung and each other and tumbled on the floor until I ended up above him. With my foot on his chest, I grabbed ahold of his arm and ripped it clean off, blood spraying everywhere and his screams of pain filled the room. I screamed back in his face to shut up. I was about to dismiss him of his other arm when I felt a heavy hand on my shoulder and turned around.
“You don’t get the right to touch me either. I need to go get Jolie.” I said as I walked out of the room. Once in the Hallway, I could hear Jolie’s frantic cries from downstairs and rushed down to find my mother awkwardly holding her and she wailed. My mother, Cleo, looked at me with a frightened expression. Without a word I took Jolie from her and hushed her.
“Momma’s here, baby. It’s okay. You’re alright. Don’t worry.” I soothed into her ear. Her tiny little arms wrapped around my neck as she stuck her face in my neck and sniffled. I kept rocking her until I knew she was asleep. Then I looked at Cleo who was standing in the middle of the room staring at me in awe.
“And that is how a mother takes care of her child.” I told her and I quietly exited the room.

I apologize once again for the long wait. I'm just so busy. Being a working high school student & trying to get your life together is tough and extremely exhausting.
