As I'm walking to the car to get my luggage, I look at the hotel we'll be in. All my friends came, except for Micheal. He wanted to, but he said he had work. So me, John, June, Ivy, Eli, Gabe, and Lisa started our trip to Georgia.
I start to carry out everyone's stuff when Eli walks towards me with an odd look on his face. It seems like he is sad but trying to hold in laughter.
"What's wrong?" I ask. He looks at me seriously and says "We can't stay here." I ask him why and he looks away. Then he does his deepest voice and says "They don't serve waffles at breakfast in bed."
I laugh and punch his shoulder playfully. He laughs along with me. Then I tell him "It's okay. I'll buy you some waffles at the store." With this his face brightens up. He starts jumping up and down like how June acted when Gabe asked her out.
Ivy walks by and says "What are you so happy about?" I explain why he's so happy and he grabs his bags. Then he runs into the hotel and leave me and Ivy alone together.
I grab her hand and she starts to blush. This is the closest contact I've had with her. Mainly because June keeps teasing us anytime I try to do something sweet for Ivy. But she isn't around right now, so I just keep holding her hand. I eventually have to let go because I have to carry in our stuff. As I walk away, she kisses my cheek.
When I walk in I raise my fist with a sense of victory. I have a huge grin on my face as I walk through our room. I was going to get us all separate rooms, but it was very expensive here and we were low on gas. So most of us are gonna sleep on the floor.
June looks at me and asks "Why are you smiling?" I just keep putting everyone's stuff up in the closet. She eventually realizes that I'm ignoring her and says "I guess I'll just tell Ivy that you told me about why your smiling. And then she'll probably hate you."
"I held her hand. Don't start jumping up and down or freaking out about it. And if your wondering why I did it out of your sight, it's because Ivy gets embarrassed about stuff like that because you tease her. I'm sure that if you didn't tease her maybe I could do something nice for her every once in a while." I say in angry manner. I then realize where I messed up and I feel terrible.
"June, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have gone off like that. I need to work on my anger issues." I start to continue but she cuts me off and says "No. It's fine. I understand. I'm sorry. For constantly teasing. I shouldn't do that." After saying this, she smiles and adds "But I'm still going to."
When she says this she starts to run and yells to get Ivy's attention. I absolutely hate it when she does that. She acts sad and then goes and messes stuff up.
Later on in the day, we get in the car to go to the concert. We get there and people are screaming at the top of their lungs. Some people are crying and others are pulling out and driving away. We ask a nearby couple of they know what's going on. The husband just says to turn on the radio.
I turn it on and a monotonous voice comes through the speaker. It says "All people who are listening head to the center of the city. The deceased are walking around and eating other humans."
And so it begins. The zombie apocalypse has started.
