I guess I need to find a new Best Friend?

Zoey's POV

It's been a year since Trunks and I became an awkward best friend relationship. I mean, we still hang out, but he hangs out with Goten more than me. Today is not different currently were at Capsule Corp and been here for 20 minutes I guess. We're here for a gathering. Mom and Aunty Bulma planned it. Dad was here for today only. I brought my electric guitar because that's the only thing that I can have fun. Grandpa gave me it for my birthday. But he never gave me an amp. That's okay. Fun when visiting Capsule Corp was spent with Trunks playing tag. But he's off playing tag with Goten. Gohan sat next to me the entire time. I had my guitar ready to play but didn't play a tune. I wore my hair up in a ponytail with my side bangs out. And I wore a gi similar to dad's, Gohan's and Goten.

Gohan: Hey, Zoe. Play me something.
Me: What do you have in mind? I have nothing.

I looked at him and saw that he was thinking. He than looked back at me.

Gohan: Play me Dead On Arrival by Fall Out Boy I also want you to sing it for me, please.
Me: Alright just for you.

I made sure my guitar was tuned to fit with the song. While I was doing that, Trunks and Goten came back and they headed towards Gohan and I.

Gohan: Sup dudes. What do you want?
Goten: What cha doing Zoey?

Goten still had trouble or pronouncing "You" so he says "Cha" instead.

Me: Gohan wants me to play.
Goten: Oo! Trunks can we stay?
Trunks: Sure out of breath anyway.

How nice Trunks. I finally was done tuning and started to play Dead On Arrival

Me: I may warn you. I can't sing very good.
Gohan: Yeah, right you've been taking lessons dude.
Me: Haha. Okay here it goes.

I was done singing and playing the song. I treated the song like how I treat it when practicing I gave it my all. But also, is it bad that the song was kind of towards Trunks? I mean the lyrics do say, "And there's no way to talk to you." There is no way to talk to Trunks. He hangs with Goten.

Gohan: Amazing Zoey!
Goten: Yeah!
Trunks: Good job... Dude.

I looked at Trunks and gave a sly smile.

Me: Thanks.

Trunks' POV

How is this possible? After stopping being friends with her and not even talking to her, she suddenly becomes my crush again? I mean come on she may be a day younger than me but Zoey played that song beautifully. She's so adorable. Trunks pull yourself together. Gosh. I should congrats her.

Gohan: Amazing Zoey!
Goten: Yeah!
Me: Good job... Dude.

She turned to me and gave a smile. A smile that wasn't like the usual one when we hanged out.

Zoey: Thanks.

I sat on the ground with my legs crossed and started to pull out the grass. Ugh why does it have to be so weird between us.

Goku: Hey, kids! Come on and eat before I eat it all!

All of us looked up at Goku and went. We all sat on the same table, our table. It went Gohan and Goten on one side and Zoey and I on the other. Us three took our seats but Zoey didn't. She went to Goku.
