~Lucy~

Lucy's eyes shot open, and she jumped out of bed with a squeal as soon as the light began shining through her bedroom window. She took an extra long bath, adding in perfumes and things to make her skin look nice for the day. “I want to look extra good today!” She told herself as she dried her hair.

“Lucy!!” Suddenly, Eliana's body crashed into hers, and they fell to the floor.

“Eliana?” Lucy asked, shocked. “How did you get here?”

“I opened a gate and came through, silly,” she giggled, helping Lucy off the floor. “Sorry about making you fall.”

“Opened a gate? How did--”

“I can open my own gate,” she said, shrugging as if it weren't a big deal.

“I didn't know you could do that,” Lucy murmured, putting on the outfit she had prepared for Natsu's party. It was a cute blue sundress that fell to just above her knees. It tied around her neck, and—in Lucy's opinion—perfectly showed off her curves. It was one of the birthday presents her father had sent her during her sever-year absence, so she hadn't wanted to wear it unless it was for something special. Confessing to someone that I love is a very special thing, so it's the perfect time to wear this!

“Enough of that,” Eliana sighed, waving off the subject. “Why are you getting so dressed up?”

“We're having Natsu a birthday party at the guild today,” Lucy said. She couldn't help but smile, thinking about finally telling him how she felt.

“That's not the only thing is it?” Eliana asked, frowning.

“Well...”

“No fair! I want to know!” She said, pouting her lip. “Please tell me?”

“I'm going to confess to Natsu,” Lucy told her. She was expecting Eliana to look happy, or cheer her on, but she hadn't been expecting her to frown angrily at the news. “Eliana, what is--”

“You can't!” Eliana shouted, wrapping her arms protectively around Lucy's shoulders. “I don't like him!”

“Eliana,” Lucy gasped, shocked by her reaction. “Natsu is my best friend, and he's the most caring person I know. There's no reason for you to worry. If you get to know him, you'll like him.” She gave Eliana a reassuring pat on the back.

“He's a bad man,” Eliana said, pulling away in order to frown determinedly at Lucy, “I can just feel it.”

“He's not--”

“No!” She snapped, suddenly putting her hands over Lucy's temples. “I won't let him take you away!”

“What are--” Lucy suddenly felt very dizzy, as if her magic energy were being drained from her body.

“He's already suspicious of me. If you keep summoning me around him, he's going to catch on eventually.”

Lucy fell to her knees as Eliana continued draining her. She couldn't believe that a silver-keyed spirit would have such a power. “Suspicious of what?” Lucy asked, though her body was beginning to ache from the loss of power.

“If you knew, you'd throw me away—just like all of the others!” Eliana snapped, though she looked sad as her eyes met Lucy's. “I can't let such a powerful celestial wizard go that easily.”

“I don't know what you're talking about,” Lucy groaned, trying to pry Eliana's hands from her head. She honestly had no idea what Eliana meant. If she knew what about her? Who were “all of the others” that Eliana was talking about? Her previous owners?
