500 14 2

It felt like everything was happening so quickly. I had only been a stranger to Simon only a couple of days ago, and now we're talking on a personal level. Even though I thought just this morning that we weren't that personal, I thought wrong. I think we're more than just strangers now.

I looked into the sky, seeing the sun just barely making it past the horizon,  feeling the presence of buildings as we past them on the sidewalk. Walking on the sidewalk where I fell made smile at my stupidity. I looked to Simon, who was also enjoying the sunrise; I could see tiredness in his eyes, but I don't think that was on his mind at the moment. The moment right now was.

"So- um, you still going to school?" Simon asked, breaking the silence.

"Yep, I'm in my third year of uni studying photography and arts, and playing football obviously," I hummed, being happy that I love what I'm doing. To be honest, I'm not really liking uni itself. I've been thinking of dropping out for a while, but I won't mention that yet.

"So you do drawings and shit?" He asked. We walked across the street, which was moist from the rainfall last night.

"I love to draw- oh! And I'm a huge gaming nerd," I forgot to add. He asked what games I played, which I replied with GTA, FIFA, black ops, call of duty, gang beasts, and more.

"Your pretty much a Sidegirl then," I smiled. Did he just call me a SIDEGIRL? I didn't want to sound shocked, so I played it cool.

"Yep. You guys influenced me to start playing most of the games I play now, and had a part with my football playing," I confessed. Looked up at Simons face, which was smiling. He looked over to me, and he giggled.

"What?" I questioned why he was laughing.

"I don't know, it's just cool to realize that we've influenced so many people to play the games we play and doing football," he said in awe. I replied with a yep. Then I remembered that he asked if I drew paintings.

"I've also drawn pictures of you and the Sidemen," I added.

     "Really? Did you bring them?"

"Wait- I actually think I did," I thought, "you want to see them?"

"Sure, but can we go to that place up there," he begged pointing to a coffee shop coming up on the sidewalk. I let out a breath.

"Fine-" I dragged. Simon suddenly became his energetic self and started to speed walk past me like a granny. I smirked at him when he looked back.

"Oh no one can win when they put me to a running challenge," I started running, which made him start to run. I was ahead of him, but soon he caught up with me, which shocked me.

"What? No one ever beats me at running," I tried to say while sprinting. When we were right in front of the café, he pushed me to the left.
He ended up pushing me farther then he thought he would and into the road. There was a car right in front of me going full speed.
I heard Simon yell my name.
I had that split second feeling of I'm gonna die, but my quick reflexes got me back onto the sidewalk right before it hit me.

"Oh my God," Simon said pulling me into a hug.
I was shocked.
I felt like crying but my eyes didn't process tears. I just felt the presence of him, standing on the side of the sidewalk.

"I could've died just then," I said into his sweatshirt. He hugged me tighter.

"I am so so sorry I did that," he apologized. I could hear the empathy in his voice that he really felt sorry. I wasn't mad at him, he didn't know that was gonna happen. Just the presence of his hold on me made me feel good.

"I'm okay, it's just- I can't believe I was able to get out of the way fast enough," I said breaking the hug.

"Well it's okay now, you're safe with me," he smiled, holding me close. I felt warm and fuzzy inside. We walked into the coffee shop together.

"My amazing football feet helped," I joked, making the the situation seem like a joke. Simon chuckled. We made it to the counter, a waitress with pink dyed hair lazily took our order,

"Hi welcome to- oh my God, Simon!" She looked up, now very excited that she was now taking in order for the Simon Minter. "Can I take a picture with you?" She energetically asked and Simon said yeah. I smiled at them as they took a selfie over the counter. It made me realize that it really is a privilege to be hanging out with Simon like this, even if he almost got me killed.

"It's such an honor to meet you! Are you two here for the match?" She bubbled.

"Yeah, and this is Bailey, the captain of the other team," he introduced me, and I just waved as I was awkward around new people. She said that she remembered that Simon tweeted that he couldn't wait to meet me, and I couldn't wait to meet him. We both chuckled. She then asked for our orders, where Simon and I both ordered a medium caramel coffee.

"Don't worry I'll pay," Simon said holding his credit card.

"Oh nonono no nono," I joked as I pulled a Liza by taking the card out of his hand and swiping it. He laughed at me.

"You are such a Liza Koshy," He said taking the credit card back from me.

"I try," I laughed.
