Takano POV

Finally it was my turn to testify what had happened the night of An’s attempted murder of my precious Ritsu who was in the coma at the time of the attack.

I hadn’t felt nervous as I waited for my turn but now that I was in the witness chair I began to feel the pressure of everyone's eyes on me and then it hit me hard that this was a trial to end another person's life, and that was a shock to most people here. We had to prove that what An had done was worthy of the brutality of being put down.

Before the questioning began I had to swear in to tell nothing but the truth which seemed endless.

I waited as time seemed to slow down. It seemed like hours before the defendant approached me.

“Mr. Takano tell me of what happened the night of the attempted murder of Onodera Ritsu.” He demanded staring into my eyes.

And that was the question where I had to close my eyes and relive that terrible night.

“I was out smoking when I noticed An walking into the hospital. I followed after her.”

The defendant stopped me there

“Why did you follow An in the first place?”
“Because I didn’t understand why she was there. She was already told that the engagement was off.” I replied.

“So? Isn’t it natural that An wanted to check on the man she loved even if Mr. Onodera's parents called off the wedding.”

I became angry at  that  “She never loved him” I snarled “All she cared about was his money”

“And what do you know about love?” the defendant asked but before I could answer to that the prosecutor stood up “Relevance your Honor”

“Sustained” Judge Nori replied “Mr. Mamoru keep it to the subject matter”

“Yes your honor” He inclined “Mr. Masamune what connection do you have with Mr. Onodera to start with?”

    “I am his boss”

“His boss I see and isn’t it a little odd that you are at his side every single day and night...even not going to work? There must be more to it and may I remind you that you are under oath”

I started to sweat...Ritsu would not be happy if the public found out they were gay so I thought fast “It’s because Ritsu is a very close friend of mine. I’ve known him since we were in high school together we are also neighbors”
“Still would a best friend really stop going home and instead live in a hospital?0000”
Once again the prosecutor called out again “Objection relevance”

Judge Nori looked at him again “Mr. Mamoru if you don't move on then I'm ending your examination.”

“Alright” He conceded. Before turning back to Takano “please continue with your story”

I sighed “I followed An to the hospital room when I then heard the door slam. I banged on the door and yelled that that was a private room when I heard her say that that room would not be needed”
