It's You That Matters (Lay)

"I'm really sorry, Ma'am, but your daughter has been paralyzed on the lower section of her body." The doctor informed your mother. She was already close to tears.

"I'm begging you! Is there anything else you can do?!" She replied 

"The best thing we can do is give her a wheelchair for her mobility. Other than that, nothing else. I'm terribly sorry. . ." 

Ten Years Later. . .

Your legs were paralyzed at birth due to some difficulties. Because of this, you were home schooled and all together had no friends. Untl one day. 

You woke up from your sleep, hearing the sound of the door bell ringing. You groaned seeing it was 9:00 am. 

"Mom! Someone's at the door!" You informed your mother as you went back to sleep 

"Oh, that's probably your teacher!" Your mom squealed in excitement 

Your mom opened the door finding your home school teacher with a boy about your age. 

"Sorry to bother you, Mrs._______, but would it be okay if my son stayed with us? Nobody would accompany him back at home." Your teacher asked in a very polite tone. Your mom never looked happier.

"Why of course! ______ could really use some friends! Come on in, you two~" She said gesturing the two to go in. ________! Your teacher's here!" 

You let out a groan before hopping into your wheelchair 

At your studies. . .

"Well that wasn't so hard, wasn't it!" Your teacher said "I'll be right back, Yixing will accompany you in the mean time." She she said leaving the two of you alone.

You decided to concentrate on your studies as Yixing was left there staring at you and your legs. Finally, he brought up a question you never wanted to hear. 

"What happened to your legs? Do they still hurt?" He asked in the nicest way possible 

You didn't know how to respond since you never had a conversation with anyone before "No, they don't hurt. But I really can't move them." You said with no emotions 

He just smiled at you "Well when I grow up, I'm gonna be a doctor~ So I'll have you good as new!" 

"Oh really?! Can you?!" You said smiling 

"Of course! Doctor Lay, at your service." Lay said bowing

Lay has been visiting you every now and then. Your teacher even says that he visits you even when there's company in the house already. He played with you a lot and pretended to be a doctor to you and everything.

20 Years later. . .

"______! ______! Guess what!!!???" Lay said barging into your room which startled you alot.

"Whoa, slow down there, what's happening?" You laughed 

"I found a cure for your legs! You might be able to walk now!" He exclaimed. He seemed really happy, but he noticed you kinda down.

"Hey. . . What's wrong? Didn't you want this your entire life?" Lay asked 

You looked around your room "Well. . . You stuck around with me for years because you wanted to cure me, right?" 

"Yes, of course!" Lay said happily 

"But then what if it's cured already. . . Won't you leave me?" You continued 

Lay stood silent for a couple for minutes "Wh-Why would. . . I want to leave you. . .?" He said shyly 

"I dunno. . . Prettier. . . Thinner. . . more girls?" You replied 

"Yeah. . . But I think I found that girl right here in this house." Lay said turning red. You were completely stunned. "Yeah. . . Uh, this is awkward." 

You laughed at his cuteness "So does that mean we're dating now?" You asked happily 

"Seriously? After 20 years of being together, you still wanna go there?" Lay said slipping on a ring on your finger and kissing your hand. 

"I don't care if you're handicapped, it's you that matters and I love you for who you are. If I spent my childhood with you, can't I do it for rest of my life too?" Lay smiled
