"We have a lot for you this year Gerald. New endorsements, two movies and teleserye," sabi ng Star Magic sa kanya. He's in the ABD office having meeting with them for a new contract.

Gerald is slowly flipping through his contract like he doesn't care. His manager keeps reading and talk about his contract.

"Movie with Jodi—" basa ng manager nya. "Wala dito yun come back movie nila ni Sarah?"

"The both party didn't clarify if they want to do it or not." Sabi ng isang boss ng Star Magic. "And besides Sarah is taking some time off."

Napatingin si Gerald sa kanila.

"Diba ka babalik lang nya from vacation?"

"According to my chismosas sources for good daw. She's only available for ASAP and Belo endorsement."

Napatingin ang manager ni Gerald sa kanya. He's watching Gerald listen to them. "Anyway, how's the contract looking for you Ge?"

"Huh?" He looks at his manager. "Yun contract. Do you have any questions or okay na?"

"Is it possible to think about this?" He finally break his thoughts.

"Why?"

"Marami pa po kasi ako dapat ayusin."

"You don't have any more commitments on other—"

"It's for myself. I need to fix my life. My personal life aside from my showbiz life." He cut his manager off. Natahimik ang lahat. "Ma'am Charo may I have some time to think about this?"

Ma'am Charo understands him. She nods. "Take all the time you need. Let us know by the end of the month, what's your decision."

"Are you planning to change network?" Tanong ng manager nya.

"No. Never. I will always be kapamilya!"

Gerald goes to Cebu. He surprise his mother again. He wants to unwind and think. Going home to Cebu is exactly what he needs. His mother is very happy to see him. But she knows there's something bothering her son.

He help out harvest vegetables, catch some fishes and chicken at his mother's farm for dinner. He had so much fun helping out. He's still good at doing labor work. It just shows how discipline he is.

He watch his mother cook dinner. He even ask her to teach him how to cook. "Na miss kita anak! Bihira ka na dumalaw dito." Sabi ng mommy nya in visaya.

"I know Ma. Sorry. Busy talaga," he reply. "But from now on. Madalas na ako dadalaw. Promise."

"Bakit ka pala na padalaw? May problema ba anak?" Tanong ng Nanay nya.

"Nothing concerning you Ma."

"Problema mo problema ko rin. Anak kita."

"It's work." Napa upo sya sa bamboo table. "Ang dami nila offer sa akin. It's another two year contract and full of opportunities."

"Bakit ayaw mo ba?"

"Hindi naman sa ayaw. But I feel like it's time to focus on myself. Parang gusto ko na mag settle down, have a family. But also kasama na trabaho doon."
