Summer was winding to it's end seeing as how school was approaching in two weeks.

I was freely cruising down the freeway in my city. Miami was fairly perfect seeing as how there was a beach, top notch schools, and celebrity citings all the time. My 2013 Camaro was cruising angelically...okay..my adoptive parents were über rich, but even my wealth didn't get me noticed. Not like anyone pays attention to me to begin with. This was the first time I'm going out in public with my car..and I was already turning heads.

I had my ray bans on to shield my ocean blue eyes from the sun. My blonde hair was pulled to the side in a fishtail, and my purple fringe bikini top and white shorts were perfect for a day at the beach.

I pulled into the designated parking area as my flip flops clicked to my feet on the way to the beach.

I found a perfect area; one with no one from school. It had just turned one o'clock and I had no intentions on going home for a while.

I spread my beach towel onto the sand and did the same with my tanning lotion that also prevented sun burn.

I grabbed my white iPhone 5s and played Dark Horse by Katy Perry, set it to shuffle, and let the relaxation take over.

An hour has passed and I've already flipped twice..in other words, I'm bored. I wanted to cool off my body, but my weight said otherwise.

I gathered my stuff and walked around until I could find some water.

"That will be four dollars, miss!" the guy from above said.

I handed him a five dollar bill as he payed me back with my two waterbottles.

I cleared my throat, waiting for change.

"Uh..yes?" he said, still not revealing his face.

"I need my change.." I scoffed.

"Right! You can only get that if I can get your number!" he exclaimed.

"Oh really?" I questioned, taking my chance, "Can I at least see your face?"

He chuckled...wait a minute.

"Sure Lina. You can see my face." David Romano then peered out from the water trailer.

"Oh..well....aren't you dating Stephanie?" I sputtered.

"HAHAHA! I was..but she was dating parties, sex, drugs, and my best friend.." he said trying not to make him sound sad.

"I'm so sorry!" I exclaimed..oops.

"But..could I get your number? In all seriousness," he stated.

"Sure!" I exclaimed, "That'll be one dollar!" I handed him a piece of scratch paper from my purse with my number scribbled on it in exchange for my change.

"DAVID! YOUR SHIFT IS OVER. GO HAVE FUN!" A man, his boss, shouted from inside as a female entered the shack.

"Crap!" he said worried.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"My ride won't be here until five!" he panicked. It was 2:30.

"You mean..you don't have a car?" I chuckled.

"Hey!" he raised his voice, " Life isn't easy when you're poor.." he said sternly.

Confused, I offered to take him cruising around until 5. Of course, he accepted.

We walked over to the parking lot, making small talk and I turned my car on with my keyless entry button.

"Wait..what kind of car do you have?" he asked.

"A 2013 Camaro..it's red," I said as if it were no big deal.

"NO WAY!!" He sounded so excited.

He was in before I was.

"Do you mind?" he asked, grabbing the aux chord and plugging it into his iPhone.

"Go ahead," I said, concentrated on backing out to cruise.

He was playing Talk Dirty To Me and he cranked the volume all the way. My bass system was amazing and my whole car was vibrating. This is perfect..

DAVID'S P.O.V.

With the windows down and the most perfect day of summer, Lina looked even more stunning than before. She was always hidden amongst the shadows in school. She kept to herself. She was a good student. Secretly, I always watched her..you know..in a not creepy way. I'm surprised she's been as nice as she is right now to me. I figured she'd never associate to me..maybe she feels bad for me. My home life is crap. My parents are on the verge of a divorce, we're anything but rich, and I'm in sports, clubs, and an honor student with high expectations of a good scholarship.

I can't let her in..or I'll fall for her...

LINA'S P.O.V.

"Hey, can we stop by my house so I can get my gas money?" I ask David as I turned down the radio.

"Sure," he replied, gazing off.

We pulled in to my house. It was like a small mansion. We had guards, a gate, 3 stories, a pool, huge driveway..it's all I've ever known. David however, looked dazed and confused as he got out of my car.

"You live..here?" he pointed to my brick house.

"Yeah! Haha! Sorry..it's not much.." I answered as held my door open for him.

I showed him the kitchen and told him to help himself as I shuffled upstairs to my room.

I came downstairs as David was finishing a doughnut, grinning.

"Ready?" I smiled.

"Yeah!" he exclaimed as we ran to my car.

"Hey," he caught me by surprise, " wanna just hang out at the beach until dark?"

"Aren't you supposed to be home by five?" I asked.

"I got it covered," he answered.

"Then yes..I do," I drove towards a secluded beach location.
